Hi there~!
I think you are having trouble with "noise".
Try to set your camera to lower ISO (sensitivity) in your menu.
If you have "Intelligent ISO" on, then go down 2 notches to set your ISO limit to 400 or lower.
Remember that lower ISOs will give less noise and less grainy images.
Hope this helps solve ur image issues....

Thanks for your feedback PCHo
Haven't really read through all the functions due to lack of time, but i was actually looking for the ISO limit option and could not find it, and had disabled Intelligent ISO.
I'll try enabling it, see if it helps. I think the grainy look is down to the fact that I'm shooting mainly in my room and without flash, lit only by a fluorescent light. maybe lah, need to try out some outdoor daylight shots tomorrow.
Also a query about the Program AE mode. I've noticed that there's a shutter minimum limit, set by default to 1/8 if im not wrong. This basically means it wont go slower than that right? Funny thing is it always shoots at that shutter speed, so it seems fixed instead of varying the shutter.
IanHo, well done!!
