________________________________________________________________________________________

This thread currently populated with all makan places..Why not swith topic to Malacca historic attractions rather than Makan?

I kick start wth what i stumbled on Saturday & revisited to the site on Sunday.

During my secondary years, I have read about the megalith sites in Alor Gajah...however I don't really know the location until I stumbled into one 2 days ago! Suprisingly it's far from the concentration area in Taboh Naning but this one is in Melaka Pindah!!

user posted image

The location is somewhere around here:
http://wikimapia.org/#lat=2.3547348&lon=10...=17&l=0&m=s&v=9

Interesting indeed and remind me of the Pengkalan Kempas megalith batu bersurat in port Dickson which I visited ~20yrs ago & revisited in 2008:

You can read more on Malacca Megalith from Ang Moh ppl here:

http://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=2146411857

I will be looking for another bigger Megalith which from googling supposely not far from makam Dol Said in naning...It's not in GPS maps yet & worst still megalith sites are not part of Melaka Tourism Board list!! sad.gif

OK, this Morning visited The Melaka locals favourite Chicken rice ball - ping Ming under the big tree Chicken rice...suprising Ho Chak team was there before..  shocking.gif

Location beside Ping Ming Primary GPS location: N2 12.347 E102 15.191

[attachmentid=1317170][attachmentid=1317172]

Well, sorry to dissapoint the locals but puchong chicken rice (w/out ball) much better  sad.gif ..The chicken is not as soft as Chung Wah & none better than any Ipoh Taugeh chicken rice tenderness & softness.. The rice...nothing compare to Chung wah...Well...I think another hoh chak bo hor chiak case liao  shakehead.gif ..Price, The chicken meat is so littel for 3 & at RM12.50..It's similar to Puchong pricing but less chicken!! I finished the chicken but my rice still kenot finish!

Compare this to Chung Wah que...Chung Wah is expensive (More than KL pricing but the aroma of the rice & the que ... thumbup.gif I will choose Chung Wah......

The CRB beside Ping Ming (Lian Jie) is not that bad, the price is RM3.30 per person (drum stick is RM3.70 per person) but I dunno why u said the chicken meat very less, I went 2 times, latest was last month, both times also served us more chicken than rice, rice finished b4 chicken finished, so need to add rice (balls). but if u talk about chicken not soft enuf, then I got no comment coz I love chicken breast, and chicken breast is always a bit hard, so cant really compare & maybe u r right icon_rolleyes.gif

Chung Wah CRB was the best in melaka but the quality seems drop liao, maybe their parents made was better than the 2nd generations...but it's still better than Ho Kee & Ku Chen CRB and yes, its price is very expensive, maybe due to its location.

hmmnn, Probably they saw my KL plated car liao..& I became thie water fish sad.gif ..RM12.50 for 3 and you can check the attached photo of the amount of chicken..Too bad I din take the photo showingh more timun below the chicken...If Chung Wah, it will be ~RM16 but more chicken. & Chung Wah chicken is softer. Chicken meat if too hard is consider fail liao... biggrin.gif
