thanks for your confirmation on bus from Melaka to LCCT.  smile.gif

anyone can advise where i can get a LCCT-Melaka bus ticket from LCCT?
*
when u reach LCCT, the place u take your luggage, there are many counters on the right selling bus tickets, I think that's the only place to buy bus tickets to KL or Melaka. But there are not many trips from LCCT to Melaka, u have to check the time as well. Just ask around, dun worry coz it's confirmed got bus from melaka sentral (bus station) to LCCT, so sure have the return bus service, just ask...

I just got back from a Melaka trip last week and had some awesome local food. Any no, it was not in Jonker area. A local friend had recommended places that are not touristy and I found them absolutely amazing.

One of the places I tried was the Back Lane See Ham and Rojak. Here's a picture of the back lane. I am sure most of the hard core food kaki have tried this. One of a kind if you ask me.

hi there,

i am planning to go down melaka during the
~ Fiesta San Pedro ~
Festival Date - 23 to 29 JUN 2011
http://go2travelmalaysia.com/tour_malaysia/fest_sanpedro.htm

planning to stay at Paradise Malacca Village Resort.

is the resort far away for town?

please advice.. this is the 1st time ever i been to melaka :>
*
In Melaka, it's consider "very far" from this hotel to Portugese Settlement coz the hotel is located at Ayer Keroh, near the toll. I think around 40 mins depends on the RED traffic lights coz Melaka is famous with its LONG WAITING RED TRAFFIC LIGHTS smile.gif But for KL ppl, 40 mins travelling is sup sup suih la brows.gif The nearest 'big' hotels are Holidays Inn, Mahkota Hotel, Equatorial, all take less than 5 mins to reach there coz bout 2km away only. I have been visited Pesta SP for more than 30 years, visited almost every night during the festival coz walking distance only from my house tongue.gif BTW, Pesta San Padro is less attractive nowadays...No need to spend so much time there, just look see will do, but dun forget to enjoy a lot of nice foods in Melaka thumbup.gif Welcome to Melaka and wish u have an enjoyable holidays in Melaka.

Portugese Settlement as in A formosa area and jonker street ?
*
Portugese Settlement is also called Kampung Serani, it's at Ujong Pasir; A Famosa is sit between Jonker Walk and Portugese Settlement. Jonker Walk is few hundreds metres from A Famosa. You can walk to Jonker Walk from A Famosa coz very very near. If you are at A Famosa (not A Famosa Resort in Alor Gajah smile.gif), when you go towards the direction of EQ, it's about 2km distance to reach Portugese Settlement but driving is not straight line coz some one-way jalan, so u need to do a big turn near St. John hill.

Melaka is very jam on EVERY WEEKENDS especially at tourist's hotspot. If u come to melaka during Public Holiday, must prepare for the jam at Ayer Keroh toll, it might takes more than 1 hour to queue at toll counter during peak season like coming Hari Raya + Merdeka day...anyway, welcome to Melaka smile.gif

Hi guys!! Bole tolong tak?  icon_question.gif

My friends from outside Melaka wanna see the town on 15/ april 2012 (Hari Melaka Bandaraya Bersejarah)
As a Malaccan myself, I m quite embarrassed to admit that I don't know the city well.. I have been searching for something exciting/happening on that day but to no avail.

The only event that I can find is Festival Gendang Nusantara (I m not a fan of gendang  sweat.gif )

Actually, what I remembered during my younger days.. there were floats (kereta berhias), some perarakan and a carnivale-like atmosphere donning the street of Banda Hilir. Takde lagi kah?

Anybody knew what fun thing to do during the visit (other than river cruise, taming sari tower etc

Any reply will be much appreciated... thanks  icon_rolleyes.gif

and... and... and... is there such thing as HALAL satay celop? I am craving for one.. Never taste 'em before but it seem the Qs are always long at places selling them  unsure.gif
*
15/4 Historical Day is just meant "Holiday" to most of orang Melaka, we dunno and also dun care what activities the stupid government will organize coz most of us will stay and rest at home rather than go out to join the traffic jam whistling.gif or else just travel to other places for short holidays wink.gif

hmm, maybe wok and pan? amigo is just similar to windmil

Amigo is totally out of my list since I tasted Wok & Pan, their western food is much better than Amigo nod.gif I just tasted western food at The Jail last week, taste good too. You can cut the coupon in City Explorer, got discount and free chicken chop, worth to buy tongue.gif Might cut the coupon to visit again this weekend tongue.gif

Any other good places for western food in Melaka can recommend other than W&P, Amigo, windmill & The Jail? I really love western food drool.gif
