My first synology DS107+ NAS brought from him too. That time can't decide qnap or synology. So he recommend synology.

As long as the void warranty sticker didn't crack. Or no sticker sticking around the casing. Should be no problem.

Your synology very hot?

I see mostly hardware side are not much different. I think the important is the software and the firmware side. That make the NAS interesting to use.

Synology keep improving the firmware and listen to customer suggest. Every few mth come out a new firmware for upgrade. The good is, even old model still can be upgrade with the latest firmware.

Must look at your player. Is it can play most of the .avi file. avi have many codec that some player not support. But mostly is xvid or divx codec.

Or streaming speed?

As long as the programmer listen to what people like us need, he is a good programmer. tongue.gif

My next synology NAS project is to upgrade the HDD and add in a UPS. rclxm9.gif

Few time trip during lightning. Lucky no problem with HDD. sweat.gif Not going to take the risk further. Order an APC UPS which can communicate with the NAS.

Upgrade the current 1pcs HDD 750gb to 4pcs samsung HDD 2TB and raid it. thumbup.gif

All parts arrived. But no time do. sad.gif

My NAS ram upgrade currently postpone. Can't find the ram locally. sad.gif
