Hi,

I am also considering this model with another few models for 1HP and 1.5HP. How much are you quoted?

Legend from Seri Petaling recommended RAS-S10CY because they said air con with bigger BTU saves more energy than inverter because it cools down the room faster. Inverter only works well if it is turned on for more than 8 hours. The price for RAS-S10CY is as expensive as the inverter model in fact.

Anyone using it right now?

the aircond is perfect . good price. elegant look. SILENT & COOL
the prob is during installation HLK person SUCKS big time.. wrong wiring, kong.. call hitachi guys - the repair it service is good.

HLK sucks, Hitachi good. biggrin.gif

you only need cleaning when you feel the A/C is not as "cooling". estimation should range from 18-24mths for a chemical cleaning, subject to the condition of the outdoor unit. if installed in a dusty and oily environment then shorter interval of cleaning is required.

wa so old age already the aircon better leave them alone, mishandling of the aircon will spoil the aircond coil you will incur higher cost beside aircond nowadays is dirt cheap.

have you guys seen how they install the A/C? especially when they need to makes the hole in the wall.
many of the small timers just whack in the wall using brute force.
i had witness a professional installer using a proper wall drill of diameter 75mm to make the hole!
