Hi IceBikers and sovietmah,

Thanks for the feedbacks.
It seem like the noise is not a big issue.

I found that the door of hitachi fridge is not that tight compare to other brands, this should be ok right?
Other brand like LG or Panasonic need to pull strongly in order to open the door, but hitachi only need to pull gently.
Will a tight door preserve the cold temperature better?

Thanks
*
Hitachi door is OK.
Some panasonic fridge very tight hence difficult to pull it.

Hi all,

My 12 years old Samsung SR-30NMB fridge just don't chilled anymore, thinking to replace with Sharp 2 Door Fridge "HAPPIO" [SJ432TSL]

Is the Sharp fridge a good buy and save energy (electricity bill raises syndrome)?

Any feedback, opinion and suggestion are most welcome....

Forgot to ask, where to find the best deal of this Sharp fridge in KL/PJ? Btw, I stay in Kepong.

Many thanks all smile.gif

Hi Colim98:

SJ432TSL rated as 5 Stars Energy Saving therefore save energy. If your budget allow, may add few hundred to get
Sharp KAGAMI Series [SJPT-499GBK], this model give you more elegant look if you like glass door.

You may ask the price at Weng Hing Kepong, just beside to RHB Bank, opposite to Restaurant Happy Court, nearby AEON Big Kepong.

Alternatively, you may consider Hitachi fridge and compare with Sharp as the their price range nearly the same.

heya guys smile.gif

anybody got xperience with Toshiba? this fairly new model WG71MDA
http://toshiba.com.my/refrigerator/gr-wg71...ml#.Uszwv_QW1aQ

Quite nice design and price wise quite ok for 650l. Price range from RM2799 at Sen Heng and RM2350 at Jintex.

My other selection is Samsung rt59fbsl;
http://www.samsung.com/my/consumer/home-ap...r/RT59FBSL1/XME

Price in Best Denki is RM1999 but I saw in Lelong got some electric shop got 'warehouse clearance' sell it for RM1450 only.

I admit that Korean brand Samsung or LG some of their model design look nice, my general guideline, will go for Japaneses brand, therefore I will choose Toshiba between these 2.

Hi thanks for the feedback!

But Toshiba doesnt really have enough info... no energy info.. no stars whatsoever.. scared later consumption high. even on their website the info is scarce. its like there is no marketing at all for this model lol.

Hi Galaxy Angel,

Thank you so much for info sharing, really appreciated a lot smile.gif

Yup, I know where Weng Hing is because the current Samsung fridge was bought from there...LOL
The problem with Weng Hing is if pay by credit card, 2% surcharge, and not sure if there is interest free installment, cash is always preferred method of payment..

Definitely I will drop by Weng Hing to check out the fridge model and price.

Thanks again for your opinion and suggestion, have a pleasant day smile.gif

As just now you mentioned these 2 brand, therefore my answer will be Toshiba.
If this is the case, you might consider Sharp Kagami Series or Hitachi Big 2 Series, there are rated as 5 Stars Energy Saving.

For this model, you may try D'Legend at SS2. For cash payment, you will get cheaper than Senheng and Jintex. I know this because i get the quotation from them during last week's Modern Home Fair in PWTC

Allright will do look at these two items. smile.gif These two design i think is practical and spacious, the compartment is deep and wide, so when they say 650l it really is 650l.

you can get cheaper price for most of the electrical appliances compare to other shops. But that also depends on your bargaining skills and the sales person that you met.

Which 3 doors? All 3 also got three doors  biggrin.gif
The SG37BPM lowest so far is at Rm2200 but I've never seen it before in anywhere but it is available.
I like this model as it has automatic ice maker. No ice cube trays needed

The two with French doors can be seen at HN.
R-WB490P2M is Rm2850 at HN
But the silver one is Rm2500
R-WB560P2M is around Rm3200
Not sure where are the Bosch manufactured. Somebody mentioned Turkey. Somebody bought this model. Look back some of the post.

Attached Image

Yup, my Bosch is Turkey made, been using it for a month now. Not too many bell and whistle, but solid build and does it jobs pretty well, if you don't close your door in minutes, it will beeps you. When the cooling kicking in, the LED Bar filled up, indicates that it is working hard for you. I like it's build, stainless steel trim and glass panels. Only complain is the bottom compartment which store bottles are wide, bottles are drifted from side to side during door opens. Not very well for storing small diameters bottles like sauces or ketchup, but ok if you are storing those 1.5L soda.

Havent bought, I'm considering Sharp SJP791 and also R-Z710EM. Have to do extensive research and comparison. In dilemma considering amount of electricity bill saved if getting a 5 Star/Inverter fridge as compared to Toshiba.

Recently, i go to my friend's house to look at his new Hitachi R-Z610EM fridge. I saw that this model have no lamp inside the freezer, my friend say nowadays all new fridges have no lamp inside the freezer already, is this true?

Feel very uncomfortable when searching for things stored inside the freezer with no lamp.

Hi, i will be moving this saturday and is in urgent need of a fridge. Appreciate your reviews and recommendations given the below.

Budget: 3-4K. Wont mind cheaper alternatives
Capacity: 500-600L Gross
Others: prefer conventional 2 doors (top fridge/bottom freezer) type.

Saw a fisher & paykel model e522-bss on sale at 4k. Is it a good buy?

In view of short time frame, all advice will be well appreciated.

p/s: where is the best place to shop for cheap electricals around Ampang area?
