QUOTE(freshprince @ Jan 11 2014, 09:13 PM) Hi, i will be moving this saturday and is in urgent need of a fridge. Appreciate your reviews and recommendations given the below. Budget: 3-4K. Wont mind cheaper alternatives Capacity: 500-600L Gross Others: prefer conventional 2 doors (top fridge/bottom freezer) type. Saw a fisher & paykel model e522-bss on sale at 4k. Is it a good buy? In view of short time frame, all advice will be well appreciated. p/s: where is the best place to shop for cheap electricals around Ampang area? wow very rare see someone mention about fisher & paykel. where you see it? am interested.

QUOTE(lovejerk @ Jan 10 2014, 12:06 PM) Recently, i go to my friend's house to look at his new Hitachi R-Z610EM fridge. I saw that this model have no lamp inside the freezer, my friend say nowadays all new fridges have no lamp inside the freezer already, is this true? Feel very uncomfortable when searching for things stored inside the freezer with no lamp. Yup, current Hitachi model has no lamp in their top freezer. Just for your info, Hitachi will launch NEW series fridge, inveter type with dual fan cooling. This type of fridges do have energy saving LED lamp at both compartment (top freezer & bottom fridge) Model number R-VG580P3M

I would advise not to go, as you already noticed that is some dented further more this is display unit... For long run, if your fridge down, will be hard to get the spare parts, even you able to able to get it, will be very expensive. Suggest for for Japaneses brand.

Thank you as it may be indeed hard to get replacement parts. The fisherpaykel unit was on display but was never switched on. Warranty starts from date of delivery. Any good lasting japanese brand to recommend based on my budget 2-4k? Thanks

Hi Galaxy Angle, I'm currently having dilemma between Hitachi n Samsung fridge. Could you help? I'm looking at Hitachi RZ420EML without inverter but rated 5 star for elec saving, lowest I got is 1299. But I'm comparing with Samsung with digital inverter RT32FARADSA lowest I get is 1498. Can't find their electrical consumption from specification. I'm looking for this size range for elec saving and durable fridge. Could you help? :-)

Need some input from sifus here.
Present my hitachi fridge(25 yrs old, 2 doors, 140cm tall). Not sure of what model and capacity as the model is at the back of the fridge.do not want to move and see.
I need to change as (1) to save power, the electrical shop mention that the power can be only 50%,after 25 yrs. how much i have waste base on above info. (2) not enough space capacity
However the fridge position cannot be replace by a taller type, due to kitchen cabinet was designed just 20cm above. Wife strongly against to put the new fridge to dinning hall.
Any suggestions? Can i just change to same size and add in a smaller fridge? will i safe power, overall?

I also do a search for Samsung fridge RT32FARADSA and no information about the consumption & energy star.

As mentioned earlier, Jintex no longer sell at price RM1288, just paid a visit on their web site and the selling price now is RM1380. You may contact Ah Fei (016-6687011) which I find a good deal with him for most of my home appliances, he is selling Hitachi R-Z420EM at RM1280 at the moment. You may tell him my name, Steven introduce Good luck and do share with me your experience if you manage to deal with him.
