How long actually to wait before can switch on the newly inverter refrigerator? Delivery guy said better at least 12 hours after move. Best is 24 hours.

Hitachi says min 5 hrs.
To be safe the longer better [for compressor oil to drip back correctly] especially if it was transported flat (lying on side). If it was vertical most of the time then 5 hrs should be fine

At last, I bought Sharp 610L Pelican 2 Door Fridge Inverter SHP-SJP601MFMK from TBC yesterday after compare to online and most electrical shops nearby my area. Price is RM2,550 after deducted SAVE 3.0 RM200 upon check on SEDA system.

Bought 1+4 extended warranty (RM326) too since Sharp warranty is 1 manufacturer year warranty only. The 12 years warranty only cover inverter compressor.

Delivery will be made these two days. Hope everything smooth.

Just collected keys for home and surveying now.. From looking through the threads here and asking around, I think Sharp would be the most solid choice among all the brands..

But was told that to remove the refrigerator door to fit my wet kitchen door frame would cost RM400 for the technician at sharp... Decision decision :/

I came across this thread regarding the ice maker and decided to reconsider from then on, if not it would have been the perfect fridge for me as the depth is around 735mm which is perfect

What a bummer, yes I’m also concerned of the ice maker too. There’s really not much options for bottom freezer, especially with pull out drawer, so I might just reconsider top freezer again if that’s the case. Thanks again for the sharing.

I think the problematic ice maker that was mentioned in the thread that Calvin linked was the Sharp fridge

Can consider Panasonic for bottom freezer as well, next would be LG

Not to sure though as the thread was a mitsubishi fridge, but anyhow i was really leaning towards it for the size.. Thanks for sharing bro, didn't know that we needed to consider so many things before purchasing a fridge

Toshiba fridge now under OEM. That's why newer fridge tend to break down often.
