Hey, anyone can recommend me a refrigerator with the doors opening to both side, it's called French door is it? I'm considering either Sharp, Hitachi, Toshiba or Electrolux.

Those that have ice maker in front, is it good?

I have heard many people complained about the two door fridge, include my colleague....she was so regret buying two door (side by side) fridge....as can not put big wider things...it is just too difficult to maximise the space with a solid divider in between the fridge....she said can not put bigger cake, can not put wider cooking pot....etc...

i am looking at the panasonic inverter 460L...

Nowadays, there are so many brand to choose for refrigerator...  :stars:
e.g. LG, Panasonic, Hitachi, Electrolux, Samsung, Haier

Which brand do you recommend?
Preferably a durable and long lasting fridge... oh yeah, and also affordable...

ycs, i am using 2 door sharp sjpt66rhs. for about a year +-. so far no issue what so ever. i think most refrigerator are good. it just boils down to design and feature you like. i choose shard hi deco is because its ion plasmaculer and classic look.

Well yea, the insides of the fridge is small unless you buy those US standard size - those are really huge and expensive here too.

French door fridges are better. At least when you open the fridge door, it's half the size of a wide fridge hence, saving space(if you have a tight kitchen).

Saw a Hitachi one in Harvey Norman. Very nice!!! But i think around 3k plus.

a nice big fridge certainly adds up a 'wow' factor to your already nice kitchen but bear in mind the electrical bill... If you ain't cooking daily it just doesn't worth it imo...

ion plasmacluster is the term for Sharp. other brands have another term for themselves.

the term refers to how the fridge manages the vegetable in fresher condition, how the fridge eliminates the bacteria.

many people feel that ion plasmacluster of sharp is so powerful but in fact all kinds of fridge serve the same function.

like Toshiba is hydrid plasma, hitachi is nano titanium, panasonic is twin bio...etc

marketing tactic only

yeah true, all are the same fridge technology, but only matters of built quality and how reliable are they...
