It was a great movie experience. Stay true to the original trilogy. Way better than the prequels but I think I didn't I like it as much as I thought it would be. Gonna reluctantly watch a couple more viewings but I don't think it can beat my viewings for Fury Road (6 viewings without a slight of doubt). The giant spaceball concept feel a bit repetitive though..

question, if I want to watch this movie do I need to watch other star wars movies before this to grab better understanding?

If yes, what are the title of the movies?

Thanks!

The ending for this movie is LITERALLY a cliffhanger. The scene is set around a cliff. They found HIM on a cliff.

Phasma is not dead. Christie is returning for Episode VIII. The trash compactor mention was just a homage to Episode IV, and the fact that Finn was assigned to the Sanitation Department while he was training as a Stormtrooper, to make the joke work.

i felt it was 3/5 at best.

it was cringe worthy, felt like live action disney the clone wars.

it felt "too easy" to take down a base. I mean, seriously.

kylo ren was dissapointing, captain phasma was made as such an evil enemy in the trailer, in the end just lower the shield that easily of the entire star killers. That easily?

it was an enjoyable ride, Rey is hot

Good but not great. Just don't expect too much and you will enjoy the movie. Hard to describe but the star wars vibes or feel kinda lack a bit in this one. Maybe because some scenes just seem like previous star wars scenes you've seen before but with tweaks here and there.
