Once again, there is a weakness within the structure that can be destroyed by an X-Wing fighter.. Captain Phasma plays insignificant role that leaves certain distaste to me. Kill by a garbage disposer? pfftt..Wish she had a bigger part in the movie. is he really dead thou? I read an interview sometimes ago that they say he will have a more significant role for upcoming movies.

The New Republic is already formed at the start of TFA, the capital Hosnian Prime was destroyed when Star Killer was launched, that's why the Resistance lost all the support they got when they plan to launch an assault on Star Killer. That brings to some other questions..... Is the Republic really gone? Just from one single strike of Star Killer? and Why was there still a Resistance when there's already a new Republic? Interesting theory about Plagueis there, we'll see if that's true in the upcoming movies kesian Resistance if they're a military wing, seems poorly equipped given the figures that are present, General Leia + Poe, the best fighter pilot in the Resistance. Yes I think everyone is weird out by that scene no matter you're a fan or not. I think it's a pretty good opportunity to kill her character off, but of course everyone said that because carrie fisher is gone now. Not sure if any of you guys realised it but he haven't appeared in both movie posters so far, indicating they already planned him to be a minor character in the story, heck even Phasma appeared (just because she's shiny I guess). When the OT first came out there was little back story on who Palpatine was as well, only after the PT came out the circle is completed. So yeah, Snoke wasn't meant to go big in this arc. And Disney could add to his backstory with more comics / animation series / novels, a smart business decision whetehr you like it or not.
