erm any chances of PS3 will get a heavy price cut anytime soon? i have been reading some articles saying that PS3 sales is dropping alot and way behind xbox sales....

The number of sales of 360 more then ps3 , its because most of the owners owned more then 1 ( xbox360 ) due to 3rrod case..3rrod then buy new once , 3 rrod buy another..keep on buying..

What do you mean by choose the unit you want ? Meaning... there are possibilities of 'scratches' or 'minor defects' ?

I prefer to 'open it all at home'... remove the stuff in the box one by one and savour every second of newness

I am seriously thinking of phoning 1300-88-1233 and getting it done via phone-line. Ask them deliver it to my home (no charge for delivery). But... ordering via Sony Style Malaysia only... izzit... safe ? The product guaranteed to be in best quality ?

Also... what are the odds of going to The Curve Sony Style and they are having stock for PS3 Black Piano finish ? Do they always have stock there ?

The MY PS3 is only in black. No white. About the phone order, not sure. But if it's like any other TV or refrigerator delivery, then the PS3 should be stored in a van ready to be shipped to your house in good condition.

I believe GH is selling higher because they have to pay the rent. Having a shop in Cineleisure will definitely cost more. Still, if you're from the area and do not want to brave the notorious KL traffic, GH is a good choice.

I asked some Sony Style shops...but they don't sell the console itself...
and weirdly...the Sony Centre allowed me to choose ANY games I like but Sony Style limit you to one 'best seller' game and one 'lousy' game

it means they had lets say 5 unit left...so they asked me to choose which one i want..so i just choose the perfect packaging ( box ) , but doesnt mean the others aint perfect...all of em perfect cause all new and sealed..btw im also open it at home slowly one by one...not used to open it at the shop , at home u feel more relax when open it...hahah

Lol... i did the same when i bought my x360... spent like 15 minutes choosing the 'best box' and the console lasted me 9 months... !

Anyways, I might just get the Remote Control for RM119... I think watching BD movies, it would be easier (or more real) to control the movie with a remote control...

How bout games... what is the best shop to get it... and is the price 'fixed' ?... I was thinking of going to Gamer's Hideout for all my PS3 games...

Also, how is the Blu-Ray movie quality compared to standalone players?

well actually the best place to get the games at gamers hideout itself , sungei wang plaza ( any gameshop there ) also good , the price actually almost the same as GH..depends on game...the price would be rm150 until rm230 per games ( depending on what region / the game titles )..all ps3 games are region free , dont worry..even though there`s R1 (US) R2 ( UK & JAP ) R3 ( ASIA ) R4 ( AUS ) * all of them 100% region free games..but for the blueray movies * region locked , for MY PS3 80GB ** REGION(A) and REGION FREE BD movies only...well im using BD remote control too , yea its easy when u wacthing movies..

Well, if you intend to watch a LOT of BD movies, then by all means get the remote. If you play more games, then maybe it's not so important.

I don't have a super hi end theatre setup at home, so "real" or not real feeling isn't really a priority

As for games, you can get them from GH, alex, bernard, ooj, or any other trusted seller on LYN. Ooj also runs a PS3 game and BD rental service which is highly recommended.

How complete is SonyStyle's game libray? I was thinking of getting the PS3 with LBP + Asassin's Creed (bundle) and MGS4 + GTA IV. U think they have MGS and GTA in stock?

The only thing holding me back now is the color. I want a white one. U think it's gonna come out soon or it'll never come out in MY? Dang, can't wait to get my hand on the white one.

Any idea which shop gives 0% EPP other than SonyStyle?
