As long as you register the warranty online, you'll get it. I just registered my SG set yesterday. You'll need a valid SG address tho (I used my friend's) and now I'm covered one year from Sony SG.

When you sign up for the warranty, they'll ask you how you got it. I just selected "received as gift". As long as the serial number of your console is valid and has never been registered, you can register for the warranty. When the process is done, Sony issues you a Warranty Contract Number. Save this. It's important. I guess you just need that.

Nope. The SG set 80GB CURRENTLY selling is the EXACT same machine as the MY set. The serial number begins with CECHK06, and the only exception is that the warranty needs to be claimed in SG instead of MY.

QUOTE(defaultname365 @ Dec 15 2008, 02:11 PM) Lol... i did the same when i bought my x360... spent like 15 minutes choosing the 'best box' and the console lasted me 9 months... ! Well, if you intend to watch a LOT of BD movies, then by all means get the remote. If you play more games, then maybe it's not so important. Anyways, I might just get the Remote Control for RM119... I think watching BD movies, it would be easier (or more real) to control the movie with a remote control... How bout games... what is the best shop to get it... and is the price 'fixed' ?... I was thinking of going to Gamer's Hideout for all my PS3 games... Also, how is the Blu-Ray movie quality compared to standalone players? I don't have a super hi end theatre setup at home, so "real" or not real feeling isn't really a priority As for games, you can get them from GH, alex, bernard, ooj, or any other trusted seller on LYN. Ooj also runs a PS3 game and BD rental service which is highly recommended. |
