HD4870 vs nVidia, who's winning now?

Front = intake

Rear = exhaust

Top = exhaust

Side = intake

Corsair TX650 not bad I heard. RM450+-

So i was wondering...Is the size of 4850 similar to 3850? I might get a 4850 next year...no rush..

Especially the width...I have a DELL BTX casing with a big friggin' HSF for the CPU that will only allow single slot card...3870 out of the question..HSF is about 10cm away from my card

Just bought His iceQ 4, moding bios to 700MHZ GPU clock, 1100MHZ memory clock, 1.12voltage, temperature only raise 2C from full load, idle remain the same.

attention: Gainward ATI HD 4850 512MB, GS owner, can u send me ur original bios file, i need to learn bios figures setting.

modifying bios - always a chance of bricking your card beyond reflashing back to ori bios = warranty void

plus withmodded bios, wont work with catalyst 8.8 and potentially future version of catalyst as well

wat software to use to overclock ati card better?

I just bought 4850 GS last week. My 4850 GS is of course more powerful and smoother than my previous 9600gt and I am using 8.8 Catalyst driver along with control panel. My only concern is that when playing games like CoH and CoD4, sometimes there will be a 2-3 blackout. Usually when starting the games. And when playing too long or there are too many stuffs on the screen, suddenly the game will crash and so far I encountered one BSOD with KERNEL_INSTACK_PAGE_ERROR.

Is there any remedy for this?

maybe someone should get some ram sink and try? so far i'm not having problem with my 4850..even like half  a day gaming or leaving the pc on in the afternoon (Makes the card heats up a bit )

Please do not generalize. So far what we have is:

1. Celciuz - some problems with DirectX driver, already solved.
2. Desmond1310 - card faulty, waiting for RMA.

Desmond1310 posted many times so it may seems like a lot of issues, because he tested it thoroughly. If you are aware of anyone else, do let us know. Of the hundreds we sold, Desmond1310 is our first and only case at the moment.

Did Acelero S1 dont come with ram heat sink ? 

my voltage regulator dont have any sink btw , still work fine. 

If the factory tested , then theres really no problem.

like the AC Acelero S1 , they claims that their AC Acelero S1 can provide your gc work flawlessly even dont have voltage regulator heatsink.

I take this compare because when manufacture stated it works no problem , then you're fine.

That only happened on 4870 with gddr5, lets assume the problem only occurs with 4870

thanks guys. im planning to get a hd4850 this week and im thinking of asus brand which i saw it cost rm630 at compuzone. worth taking it? i saw sapphire sell it around rm590 and gigabyte. so confused which one to buy

hey guys, can the new rivatuner 2.10 change the fan speed?

Just forget about those ass who ask people read more but himself dont know.

So can rivatuner change fan speed or not? I bought a HD3850 last year and have been using Rivatuner to control its fanspeed etc...You mean to say i have been cheated and its actually an NVIDIA card?

SApphire toxic edition can go damn high,i dont know how high can gainward go and seems like no one oc their gainward golden sample card.
