@muscaa,
If U have cheque facilities and don't mind sending the cheque each month it's really not that troublesome. I've been doing it for the last 8 years biggrin.gif

@muscaa,
Since U've signed up for an e-statement, U'll have to find / use any other envelope. Get the add from ur statement; it should be there - I haven't received my Citibank bill so don't have the address on me.

Yes no point getting the RHB Travel Card just for the 5% rebate on petrol because those are just marketing efforts/temporary promotions for banks to attract new members biggrin.gif

@cute_boboi,
Did MBB tell U Y ur CL request was rejected? And were U asking for a temporary or permanent increase?

@Lawyer1,
Platinum cards are platinum cards lor - same usage as the rest; just with some additional benefits [it might come in handy but it's not like a must-have]. What would U like to know about Platinum Cards?! [Act, a lot of discussion on Platinum cards took place on Credit Card Thread V3 so perhaps U could check that out]

@bee993,
hye was just being helpful thumbup.gif

@David83,
Most of the time banks do not reveal reason.

@cute_boboi,
Ah well.. don't give then don't spend lor or like U said, use a different card biggrin.gif

@muscaa,
U keep 7-8 different CCs as standby?! rclxub.gif And, with an average of RM15k credit each, Ur actually walking around with RM15k x 8 = RM120k!

@lahjenan,
U could check out Citibank Online - U don't need that 'TAC' message but each time U login, U'll be asked a random question [U put in the answer to 3 questions when U register]. The troublesome thing about it is that with every transaction U do, Ur gonna need to re key in your password [in a way it's a good security measure I guess]

@tiger63,
The foreign banks need to setup booths because they don't have many outlets; Maybank is everywhere hence one can just walk in to apply. It could also be that the local banks aren't vying for a piece of this pie *shrugs*

Am surprised to hear ur comment about MBB CC's being difficult to obtain but forumers have mentioned in the past that MBB can be strict.

I recently put in an application for a MBB CC and it was approved. In fact, I got upgraded to the next tier. Having said that, I've kept a good credit record for the many years since I started using a CC and do not currently have any outstanding loans.

@tiger63,
Perhaps ur application got lost and not rejected? *grins* but since it's done now no need to talk about it lor *grins*

The one thing I don't like about MBB is that they don't allow us to pay our Utility Bills through our CC *siGh*

@soitsuagain,
Banks are entitled to offer Platinum cards to anyone they like but they can't be giving out plentiful credit to just about anyone hence the RM8k CL *shrugs*

@bluefries,
U need to check what's the ongoing promotion Citibank is doing but U could alwiz call up for a waiver at the end of the 1 year.

@lahjenan,
Enjoy trying out Citibank Online biggrin.gif

@yewkhuay,
Use DA MasterCard if U have - I did a rough calculation; Amex 2x points @ petrol stations will give U back ~1%; DA MasterCard gives U back 2%.

Anyhow my bill just came; petrol last month came up to >RM400++ and I onli obtained like RM8++ rebate!

@zenquix,
I ended up applying for Amex Gold cause I didn't qualify for the Amex Platinum. But it was the latter that they delivered to me rclxms.gif Nothing to shout about the CL but I'm not travelling overseas lately hence I don't need too big a chunk of CL.

@wheimeng,
I ain't 100% sure - I think it states min annual income of RM130k and U need to be above 21.

CL offered to me is lower than what UOB/HSBC/Citibank offered but like I said, good enough.

Just cause I got issued a Platinum card doesn't mean I'm wealthy. Btw aren't U supposed to send me something through email to go through?

Anyone using Citibank CC? Did U get Bonus Points in ur last statement?! I did but I've absolutely NO idea what those Bonus Points are for - thought I'll check here before I call and ask CS *grins*

It's weird cause Citibank's stingy with points as far as I know tongue.gif

@jep,
Haf no clue about the insurance package; probably something along the lines of 'if something happened to U, ur outstanding balance on the CC will be taken care off'....

@hye,
I don't think those promos have anything to do with it - I haven't even SMSed in to join the Car contest [but what are the chances of winning!]. My latest bill reflects RM0.00 balance for MasterCard and yet I get 1,321 bonus points [not that I'm complaining - the more the merrier!]

@wheimeng,
I'd been bZ - haven't had chance to go through the 133 unread new emails!
