I do think that SCB knows who they have in mind (target market) for this particular card. However, the info provided on this card (as stated in SCB's website) is pretty basic. I have a feeling it's going to be hard as well for SCB to attract the right crowd to this product on the notion that people would be comfortable using their existing bank's cc and just by offering a better credit limit / airport lounge would doubly lure them here. They would be traveling business anyway thus have preexisting access to lounges + have a good credit limit on their cards already.

It's all about the level of customer service that the card attracts. I agree it would be the equivalent level that the Platinum command in the 90's and unlike now where a lot of people owns a Platinum card. Thus the exclusivity of the Platinum has diluted itself.

.... Hope Terapox has this card to tell its story.

I haven't been able to make use of me Amex too much; I swiped ~RM6k on my Visa this month and not Amex just cause it wasn't available

And what is considered acceptable CL to U?!  The CL given to me is definitely sufficient.  I didn't show any pay slip or documents when I applied for the card; instead I used existing CC.

The "bad" thing about this card is that it's not as widely accepted as Visa/MasterCard and to pay utility bills, it needs to be direct-debit hence I'm still using Citibank for those *siGh*  As such, I don't know if I'm gonna be able to meet the RM20k spending on Amex as stipulated by Amex *siGh*

i think you should check with UOB center about your card, if UOB have sms you about the activation then the application is approved.
This is the number 03 2612 8080 and you better check it in case of your card stolen/missing when it's on the way to your house.

by the way i'm posting this in LCC Premium lounge and the services over here is quite normal la, went in with eon plat , my fren with his priority access card ( RHB complimentary card ) . Food over here , frankly tasteless and cold. If asking me to pay for RM 80 for entry , i will go for other places for food. 

The massage chair is at the corner lot , terapox !! no one is on da chair but the problem is there is a paper stick over there written " OUT OF ORDER "     

from the entrance, they said priority pass cardmember and eonbank platinum & matta fair card only..
for my matta gold, free for life with 24 swipes per annum...
the receptionist said for the first 300....luckily i'm the 295 cardmembers to enjoy the complimentary entrance. (for the month of august....its only 15 august)...huhu

You apply at branch ? with other card prompt or submit relevant document like payslip, be form , bank statement to apply this card?

50K is pretty easy to get.
My boss PBB's Platinum which he doesnt even bother to use has 80K limit.

i got 2 cards which is AEON and EON....owing like RM8k for both card...i plan to settle it with bank rakyat personal loan which is 5.1% annual and try to settle thru bank rakyat for 3years terms.....is it a good idea??...anyway, i have check with bank rakyat, and i'm entitled for it since i'm goverment servant....

all i want is to clear this card and get like NO T&C free for life card(which mean no need swipe also free).....

my other question will be...which bank do provide free for life card without swiping??

So my net income is roughly RM 4,000 +/-  in your opinion, what are the chances of me getting a Gold card?

(I have a classic card for staff from the bank I work in But I want a GOLD )

My Public Mutual 2k commission is in Public Bank account, My company account is a different back account, So I just need to submit 3 months Bank statement + 3 months payslip.

The reason why I said it's not easy because I've just been working for 3 months ^^; this is my 4th Month ... Gold or no gold also same one lar. So what if gold card? You didnt even know classic card can easily get annual fee waived and yet credit limit can surpass some gold card. If I remember correctly, Tinkerbel (or was it Terapox?) has a HSBC classic card with 14k limit, and my own HSBC classic also 9.5k limit. Issit really necessary to have a gold card when classic card can reach this limit that you rarely used up.

My salary is 3k per month subject to EPF deduction. So I dont think you really have an idea on about credit card approvals. Speaking of which, HSBC denied my application twice before when I was on 1.5k salary and only approved when I finally reach 2k salary. I havent used for a year and they already doubled my CL upon my request. Nothing is impossible.

Just get a card and concentrate on it to gain a good limit. Then its easier to apply for a gold card elsewhere. I would rather to have a classic card than gold card because there is no advantage at all (unless using Shell card for example).

Not me! I onli got RM12.5k on my HSBC CC but that's on a Gold.  I do however know of people who gets about RM20k CL on their Citibank Clear Card [and Citibank CS tells me the Clear Card category has a max RM15k CL - what bullshit!]
