QUOTE(yiivei @ Oct 19 2008, 06:22 PM) not i purposely wanna sign differently. coz i din read the T&C.. tats y i thou signature at the back juz proof ur identity lor.. like this then my mastercard is void... haha~ Not really void. You can still use your card since it's not the best practice in Malaysia whereby merchants will verify the signature with the reference signature at the back of your card. You can still use it online. Does it come with Paypass? Can use at Paypass terminal since no signature is required but there's an amount limit of < RM 150.

QUOTE(uranverein @ Oct 19 2008, 10:37 PM) thanks for the answer, the reason why i asked is because of the 3-digit code at the back. i dont see the valid reason why they need both sides. Same goes to IC. The back side is not useful but some still demands for it.

QUOTE(PureGeek @ Oct 19 2008, 11:45 PM) that means if you apply for new credit card... they might want photocopy of both side of ur existing credit card... then they'll know ur numbers including the 3 code... omg then the salesman can do online transaction If they're not ethical, they may. Well, do preventive action. Obsecure the 3-digit physically; i.e blanko or stick a small paper on it.

MBB also asked for mother's name. By the way, why your boss angry about it?
MBB also asked other questions like:
1. Do you have Zing T&G? 2. Do you have installament programme? 3. How you settle your CC bill? 4. What is your mobile number? 5. What is mailing address?
During verification when needed, the CS will ask at least 2 to 3 of the above questions.

QUOTE(danlhct @ Oct 20 2008, 12:02 AM) I feel more comfortable if the bank ask different questions like Maybank, at least not the common one. It will be more secure. If I'm not mistaken, CIMB DA also practises the same way as MBB.

QUOTE(PureGeek @ Oct 22 2008, 07:45 PM) i remembered last time i see credit cards they have like a booklet with a lot of discounts at a lot of different shops and restaurants like 10% 20% some 70%... do u know which bank has these and what card?... my rhb card has none of these privileges only some discount on electric shop =.= It depends on the bank's privilege programme. Each bank has its own - HSBC, MBB, CIMB DA and etc.

QUOTE(PureGeek @ Oct 22 2008, 08:05 PM) thanks for all the replies normally hows the credit card closure procedure?.. just call up bank and no need return the card (i.e cut the card urself) or must return the card? and got any fee on cancel ? my card is with rhb For normal termination, they'll ask you to go to the nearest branch and bring along your card. For "creative way" of termination, call to CS and said that you have misplaced your card or your card has been stolen. They'll freeze your account and they might send you a replacement. Therefore, you must specify to them not to send any replacement card.

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Oct 22 2008, 09:12 PM) The RM1 = 2X Treatpoint is awesome. That is why i charge everything into my MBB AMEX Gold whenever possible. Shame that MAS doesn't accept AMEX for its online transaction. I have to use my CIMB Gold Mastercard to pay for tickets to KUL every month. That's the idea. I have applied for MBB conventional Amex. They don't want to waive my annual fee for first year. I told them to cancel my application.

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Oct 22 2008, 11:08 PM) Oh, when did you apply for it ? I applied mine in March this year and annual fee for the first two years is waived. They said that I have existing cards with MBB and therefore, it'll treat my AMEX application as additional card not a fresh application. With that, I'll be charged annual fee upon receiving the card.
