Err, do I have to pay for replacement if my CC cracked and can't be read anymore?
*
If it's the defect due to bank's fault, no need to pay.

If it's due to your negligence or lack of care, you may be charged.

Uh, I think I swiped too much..
*
Is the chip damaged? Still able to swipe? If still can swipe, I doubt that the bank would replace a new one for free. biggrin.gif

Are there is any CC out there that do not have validity for its petrol rebate?
*
How about CIMB DA? They didn't specify the expiry or validity right?

how to use the mastercard paypass function? just touch it to the panel then go away or need to sign anything?
*
The cashier will ask you to touch your card at the panel.

No signature is required.

There's a transaction limit. Should be < RM 150.

its the same function as visawave right?

funny thing. most of my friends who has the wave card dont really wave.. thy still prefer to sign and swipe the card.. anyone know why? thy say thy prefer the old method..  sweat.gif
*
Yeap. Wave is from Visa. Paypass is from Mastercard.

It depends if the merchant has the wave terminal or the cashier is trained to operate the terminal.

I agreed with hye that the wave terminal method could take longer than usual method. I experienced this before at Carrefour. Somehow, personally I felt that the transaction over paypass terminal is faster at KFC.

I used Wave at Sushi King. No signature required on the receipt generated by the terminal but the cashier will ask to ink on the receipt generated by their machine.

*
I was wondering that too even though I didn't spend much.

I saw there's a deduction on TP.

Why don't apply a card from any Singaporean bank?

Using locally issued card will impose charges on the foreign exchange right?

I called Maybank CS yesterday to inquire for my MBB Ikhwan AMEX application. Apparently, my application couldn't proceed since I didn't sign the declaration section. There're two declaration sections in the form and I signed only on the Akad declaration. Faxed them a signed form and hope they could process fast enough. Not sure why they didn't call me about this.

What ? Got two sections need to sign ? Have to check with them then 'cause i too might have skipped that accidentally.
*
Yeap. I also have the same thought as you since I have existing cards with them.

There're two sections that you need to ink according to the CS or processing department.

1. Declaration
2. Akad Declaration
