Keep shouting and everyone will be annoyed and scared of you. Thats where your opening comes.

Isn't that how McEnroe always wins his match?

No offense seriously.

I agree. Whats the point of showing all these early rounds when the matches that really matter like Federer vs Djokovic, Murray vs Nadal won't be shown.  smile.gif  I'm not that shortsighted.
*
Astro probably thinks tennis isn't important at all.
They think as long as we get a little bit of Live matches we'd be sastified.

Its silly either ways thinking about it, having the finals and semifinals being delayed. Yes I know there are football matches during that day itself.... but they aren't treating everyone equally, even if there are loads more people watching football than tennis.

you've answered the reason why they can't please tennis fans. because there is just far fewer tennis fans than football fans. and you please the majority.

They actually have more channels, since they can easily open channel 816 and beyond for tennis or even some other sports for that matter.

Either case, Fed vs his fellow Swiss companion Wawrinka will be a good one. Wawrinka has an awesome 1-handed backhand and I reckon its better than Fed's backhand now.

Added on April 16, 2009, 8:27 pmWow just watched the match between Andy Murray and Victor Hanescu, that match was awesome. So many drop shot saves by Murray and Hanescu, both played awesome. Andy was practically all over the court!

The slices by Hanescu was superb as well.

He won't admit it, but its obvious. He's sidetracked by other personal affairs and his very own weak mentality. He's one of those guys who can't stand up again after taking a major loss, as he's always been on top for so long.

Time is running out for him really.... age 27, a baby coming, and just recently a new family.

Don't feel guilty. I'm one of those people who always wish for the top person to fail. Which was Federer before and Nadal now.

Thats right.
Pete Sampras didn't last forever.
Even Andre Agassi didn't last forever.

Although unlike Fed, both these 2 legends are one to respect. Especially Agassi.

Sometimes its not only what he achives, its also the way and attitude he has when he takes a loss. Don't get me wrong, Federer is like you said... one of the most gifted and talented player in tennis history.

As for Nadal conquering every clay court tourney.... well, I don't know. I would say Andy Murray will give him a good run for the money.

Looks like Djokovic is in the final took 3 sets to beat Warinka, next match is Murray Vs Nadal, hopes Nadal takes it, coz if not Murray could be World No:2 if he wins the tournament ,could be wrong abt that though.....
*
Nah.... Murray can't be no.2 just by winning Monte Carlo. He's still a few thousand points behind Fed, this is just a Masters series after all. Not a grand slam.
Though, Murray just got beaten by Nadal.

if to choose between sampras and agassi..i'd give more edge to aggasi..with all respect to sampras..agassi clawed his way back into the top draws when he was 30+ i think?? the oldest man to reach no.1 .. so all the credits goes to agassi...

Well federer on the other hand..only time will tell..he's mentality has certainly changed..from winning almost everything to suddenly losing to lower ranked players..kinda hard to take..no?
*
Agreed.
Agassi is absolutely awesome, he played in low-ranking tourneys right up to the highest in his 30's and claw his way back up. If Fed can do it, all respects goes to him.

Though Sampras at his prime was untouchable. His serve and volley tactics is hands down the best I've seen until today.

As expected.... Nadal beats Djoko.
First set was a rather close call, second set... Nadal totally owned Djoko.

Nadal now has 15 masters.... at this rate he's going, he is going to beat Aggasi's record pretty damn soon.

Yeap... expected.

Ahh well, it'll be fun to see if anyone can dethrone Nadal in the French Open. Also would be interesting to see Federer can make a comeback or not and win his only remaining grand slam then finally equalling Sampras' grand slam record.

Others to look out for is obviously Murray and Djokovic. Others like Verdasco and Wawrinka should also spark something up. Anybody have word if Andy Roddick will be in the French Open? Haven't seen him since Indian Wells.....

That's what I thought... after Indian Wells, he got married and then just stayed in bed.

Wanking off won't make his serve any faster now would it? laugh.gif

You know, the other day I read an article that Safina is one of the worst no.1 tennis players in history? As in she doesn't deserve to be no.1, she's just lucky that she is there.

The other day I saw a little bit of her match, she seriously.... isn't really that good.
Not the sort of thing you see like Nadal raping everyone on court that is.

Lolz. Read this in The Star Online.  tongue.gif  tongue.gif  Stupid lousy Astro.

Funny how they throw excuses around.

"all live broadcast as many as possible on the same time" but why put tennis event aside??...astro should open additional channel to occupied many live event dont just put all football games..damm..

Excuses.... laugh.gif

Well, atleast they open a channel for French Open. Atleast 24/7 tennis for a week. Then after that I expect it goes back to square 1 again until Wimbledon comes around.

Andy Roddick could be making his way to Malaysia in September.

We've just won the bid to run an ATP250 event, the same week as Thailand Open. Kuala Lumpur is listed in ATP World Tour calendar today.  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

Possible or not, we may not know. US Open is in September, who knows.... if Roddick gets beat to pieces I doubt he would have the mood to come all the way here for an ATP250 tour. Vice versa of course.... I hope he comes.

Verdasco just owned the hell out of Ferrero. You know, I wouldn't have imagined this 6 years ago. Ferrero's forehand back then was at one point even more explosive than Roddick's during then.....

Now it just look like.... laugh.gif
No offense really.

Fuuh.... Djokovic and Hernandez match was pretty intense. I thought at the beginning Madrid open is going to be boring, but this match proved me wrong.

Hernandez eventhough he lost, played a good match. At some point he had the light to win, but I don't know whats wrong... Djoko was just too strong mentally after he slid and damn near twisted his ankle. Shows why sometimes they spray too much water on one particular spot. Djoko could have missed Roland Gaross and Wimbledon if he did snap his ankle.

I don't know why they spray so much water this time... really unprofessional.

Anyways, Monaco just won first set against Ferrer.

How is the new Madrid Stadium? They call it the Magic Box and say that its really beautiful.
*
Beautiful.... but I don't like it.

Except for the major court, each of the other courts are all shaded. Which means, there'll be half-part of a court where the roof shades nearly up till the service court. So the player who are on the shadow side, actually gets an advantage. If you aren't concentrating, your balls will dissapear into darkness and come out of no where again. Its exagarating it I know, but it goes something like that.

Also, they don't have to stand under the sun.... I know their sun is nothing like the sun over here in Malaysia but still you know...

Added on May 15, 2009, 2:58 am6 hours of tennis right now being shown live on Astro... and probably more depending on the match at the end. laugh.gif

Seems like they finally take action after all the complaints.

Added on May 15, 2009, 10:33 pmSad match for Roddick. Lost first set, came back in second set. Got owned in 3rd set. Roddick just got fined for shouting the F-bomb after he missed his forehand shot.
