It all depends on the company is it ? I heard that we need at least Nihongo Kentei 2kyuu to study , work in Japan ? I will be studying my Year 11 next year in Australia ... Then 2 years in TAFE for Animation course . I could work or continue my degree in Curtin also ( I think I can get a job easier like this(Everywhere) ) or I can continue in Japan in an Animation institute ... Upon graduate...I can straight away find jobs and not worrying about not getting any job . I can even learn my japanese and animation at the same time ...
Btw...What do I get from an animation institute ? A Degree ? A Diploma ? What do you think is suitable for me ? |

As I mentioned that it is not my field at all, I think its best to forward that question to the Education Essentials section

^ how does it look like?
If everything looks fine, copy-paste the entire text there into your first post (press Quote Reply to get the text and all their formats) Also, I think its best to replace the sub-title of this thread from LYN members in Japan? into --> 日本へようこそ! From now on, anyone else have anything to add in any of the section (FAQ, Random Infos, etc), just tell it to tanoshi to update it on first post. Henceforth, starting from today, if anyone ask any repeating questions, we can now say: PLEASE READ FIRST POST This post has been edited by firedauz: Dec 1 2008, 11:25 AM |

Those that do will generally ask for at least a JPLT Level 2 based on a lot of the job requirements that I come across. Ok thank you for your answers man ... It really clears alot of my mind . Can I learn my Japanese in High School / TAFE / UNI in Australia ? Since I'm going there for my high school next year ... my school offers Japanese Language . I'll be having my Diploma of Animation in TAFE then continue my Degree of Animation in Curtin . Then only consider to Tokyo to work in the field of animation . Is the degree of animation from Australia recognizable in Japan ? Curtin!? Haha.. cool! Curtin graduate here. From what I see in Yoyogi Animation Gakuin website ... They offers mostly Animation course which focus more onto the position itself whereas in Australia , The course that I study covers alot of them . This is where Im starting to get confuse . Those who study in Yoyogi will have a clear path of what they wanna cause the course there is like : Animation Production course / animator course / Character Designer course . Whereas in Tafe / uni ... I study MULTIMEDIA which covers alot in Animation . But which do I really focus in ? Its all depend on me ? The duration of me learning animation in TAFE is the same as Yoyogi ... 2 years . The things that we learn is probably almost the same . Animation is considered as in MULTIMEDIA right ? This will be what I will be studying in TAFE Multimedia Cert III Multimedia Cert IV Diploma in Multimedia Degree This post has been edited by Mythras231: Dec 1 2008, 12:28 PM |

Just a quick suggestion / addition:
Useful websites for tourists: QUOTE Japan-Guide : http://www.japan-guide.com WikiTravel (Japan) : http://wikitravel.org/en/Japan JNTO - http://www.jnto.go.jp/eng/ Added on December 1, 2008, 12:28 pm QUOTE(Mythras231 @ Dec 1 2008, 12:08 PM) Can I learn my Japanese in High School / TAFE / UNI in Australia ? Since I'm going there for my high school next year ... my school offers Japanese Language . It is definitely advisable to start learning the language as soon as you can so you'll be more familiar and comfortable with it. Better still if there's any Japanese intl student in your high school/Uni and you can make friends with them and practice. QUOTE(Mythras231 @ Dec 1 2008, 12:08 PM) Is the degree of animation from Australia recognizable in Japan ? Wish I can provide more info on this but frankly, I don't know if there's a list of Uni that is recognized in Japan. One thing for sure - my Curtin degree works. QUOTE(Mythras231 @ Dec 1 2008, 12:08 PM) From what I see in Yoyogi Animation Gakuin website ... IMHO, I think it's always good to have a general understanding of all the elements in your course before you go into specifics. This helps you grasp the big picture easier than those who're generally focused in one specific area from the start. To answer your question - Yes, it all depends on you and what area your interests lies in.This post has been edited by PsyCHZZZ: Dec 1 2008, 12:29 PM |

If your curtin degree works ... I think its probably okay . Well...Im more intrested in Animation Production .
Just gotta make sure that I don't have to restudy everything about ANIMATION in the animation institute even though I got my degree in Multimedia . I have give you the course that I will be studying ... Its all related to Animation ... Only its not focus on a specified area ... It covers alot of place . I think that this also might help me to get a job easier . |
