Hi all sifus, does anyone knows of a tyre shop that accepts 99% new ori rims and tyres? I will also need to get new tyres for my new rims from that shop.
P/S: Planning to get Michelin XM2 185/55R16 |

Hi all super rim sifus. I plan to change my current 17inch rims to 18inch onto my civic fd 1.8L. Need advice as is it a good idea of doing that. Any pro and cons? Will 18inch damage the car or does it affect the performance etc etc. Pls advice.

Any pro and cons? Will 18inch damage the car or does it affect the performance etc etc. Pls advice. No, not a good idea.Pros: just looks only, nothing else. Cons: Slower performance due to heavier rims (unless you are prepared to spend relatively high to buy big but lightweight rims). Might be also longer braking distance due to heavier rims. More fuel consumption, again due to heavier rims. Harsher ride/less comfort due to much thinner tires. Even with the 17' now the tires are already quite thin. More expensive tires also. Don't tell me you plan to upgrade to bigger rims but later skimp on cheapo tires! |

I am driving latest Honda City.
Original rim besi spec is 15" 5.5 JJ ET 45 with tyre size 175/65/R15 I planning to change them to second-hand Alza rim. The Alza rim spec is 15" 6 JJ ET 45. I also planning to use Michelin XM2 195/65/R15 tyre. My question is will it rub against the fender and suspension? Thanks in advance. |
