most prefer 7jj.looks better..normally et35-42 is nice and most sport rims are produced with that offset.

For your BMW use more high end rims like Rays la. Your stock rims is already very expensive, much more than Advanti what.

Well, yeah, lol but I'm sticking to OEM rims. Would have bought the M-Performance 20 inch rims if it weren't for their weird offsets and width lol.

20' is too big la, for what, makes the car slower and harsher.

They are very light though lol, iinm it's about 9kg only. About 2kg+ lighter than the stock 18inch wheel. Harsher though yeah. 19' is the maximum size I will ever go for this car haha. 20 inch looks too huge and not a fans of it.

18's still the best size for that car size, best proportion. Should get 18' but much lighter one, like 7.5-8kg forged rims, then the car can be even more lively. 19' for 5 series while 20' is for 7 series size car or a big SUV only.

I don't know man, gotta wonder why BMW just makes 20" OEM wheels for the F30.

19" looks alright to me. This is from the F20, 19" 624M.

Car manufacturers also follow trend la. They want to sell so they follow what people seem to want, and people seem to want bigger and bigger rims so they just follow. Doesn't matter if it's actually too big or not comfortable or make the car slower or what, as long as they can sell then that's the first priority. Same like Mazda 6 2.5ltr that comes std with 19' rims even though it actually makes the car slower and harsher! Even worse, it might make the car handle worse also in the corners!

True lol, it seems to me like the 19" is the "new" 18" standard nowaday.
There are many people that say 18 incher on a compact sedan is small LOL!

For me, unless you got north of 500HP and need big size multi pot calipers and big tires to handle such power, then absolutely no need to go bigger than 18' even though the car is the size of a 7 series!

Hi sifu's, i'm new to this and i am thinking of changing my hr-v stock 16" to 18", is there a need for me to change the stock absorbers? if yes, do the tyre shops carry them in hand or i need to buy them separately? thks!

stock absorbers can use back. dont have to change them.

Thanks for the reply. However will the stock absorbers wear out faster given the heaviness, width of the new rims/tyres? Is there any pointers when I visit the local tyre shop so that I don't get throat slashed.

so far no issue..most change sport rim without changing suspension.tyre use 225/50/18.some of the members using 235/50/18.
what rim are u going to change?width and offset have to be suitable as well.

Don't need to change the suspension lah. Just make sure the new rims and tyre gives you the same diameter as the 16". Make sure the offset and width is suitable for your car so it doesn't cause fender rubbing and/or hitting your suspension.
