Erm, Is better to use a covered bottom box or cage. Unless the size of the mesh is very small. Cause hedgehogs are kind of clumsy. Maybe they'll get their leg trapped.
Petshop assistant will claimed that is okay to:- 1) keep more than one hedgehog in the same cage. 2) use a 2 x 1 ft plastic tank to keep 8 hedgehogs together. (I've seen it) 3) can feed them any cat food or dog food 4) is okay to keep hedgehogs with a bearded dragon, as per picture above. Lol. = ) |

Good luck to you Hiyuki. An advantage of cage, is most often is huge. With little creativity and modification, you can make it to a few storeys habitat for your hedgie.
If your hedgie is potty trained, you can consider using fabric for the bottom, easy to install and remove for cleaning. |

Haha, no comment. People still need to do business de. Not good to name any particular pet shop's name.
But one think for sure, the salt and pepper have very nice colour. My friend would have bought it if not for the steep price. |

PLEASE MAKE THIS HEDGIE THREAD CLEAN!! Enuf of spamming ya!
Right, solid bottom cage is MORE SUITABLE coz their legs r very delikate.. So small but have to carry the weight around, why put harm to their legs rite? Beaver : Welcome to POKIMON Thread. Do more research if u wanna get one ya! They r not big like a cat, nor small like a hamster.. More of guinea pig size la.. |

Wanna ask, wild hedggie's diet consist of insects, snails, beetles, little mammals right? Wonder anyone try feeding it different insects besides meal worms and crickets?
If not for the insecticide or pesticide or whatever poison or chemicals. Is it advisible? hehe. Just curious. Hiyuki: Your pet hedgehog's name? Echt or Echy? Just letting you know there's a difference in spelling between your post and in your siggy. |

empty_reg: It's name is Echt, but I tend to cutefy my pets' name by adding "y" behind.
damn... im so frustrated now... my hermit crab escaped from it's aquarium...... couldn't find it. last time it was my Sebastian that escaped... now it's Hershey's turn. Pokimon loves to eat those insects that can be found in vege farms. That's wat I read from books. So i guess cacing tanah can do oso if it's free of pesticide? Madagascar lipas? the beetles? the colourful types? LOL! I can't imagine hedgie eating those. |
