Hard to video. She only does that when she feels safe and relax. Micheri is so camera shy.

Well, whatever the cost. It is so difficult to find a good pet shop selling guinea pigs that are mite and lice free besides being healthy.

Give us a ring when you come down. Maybe we can have a mini gathering.

actually this GP hard or easy to take care berbanding dgn suggies???
*
Like comparing apples and oranges. tongue.gif

The way to care for suggie and piggie is different mar.

Suggie le, need to spend a lot of time, let it get used to your scent, let it play with you, let it feel you are the safest.

Piggie le, need to spend a lot of time petting and stroking for them to be accustomed to your touch. Need a lot of bribery cuz food is no.1! Piggie won't jump all over the place when you're trying to tame it. But they keep very still like frozen when they're scared.

But all in all, I think basically for both, need to spend a lot of time lo. Piggie you can hug and cuddle. Suggie cannot cuddle I guess?

I suggest you get your muffin used to being touched. Parents with bad temper breed kids with bad temper. Also, in future when there is a special case (not sure wat yet) you may need to handle your muffin and yor muffin will be uncooperative.

Well, you should always discuss with your family and you future house mates when you bring a pet to go live with them. smile.gif Then the chances of you and your piggie living happily together is better.

My sister brought her GP with her when she went back to study at Sg Long and came back with Kiki every weekend. But you have to make sure your housemate and room mates say yes. One of my sister's housemate got poisoned into getting one herself. biggrin.gif

For piggie's cage, the bigger the better. A very very minimum of 2ft x 1 ft is what you must give to fit 1 piggie nicely. The cage should be barred at the top for ventilation to prevent heat stroke and have plastic bottom to prevent bumble feet.

Piggies are colonial animals. They like being with another of their kind. But there are some that just like to be alone. My 3 ladies at home don't like company and can't be re-introduced. sweat.gif Don't ask me why. It's kinda like suggies. Some love companions but there are some loners.

You can rear a piggie alone. Just that you have to be its companion. They will not die without a companion but they do need company to be happy. You need to be that company if you are keeping it alone. So you ca decide if you want only 1 or many.

It is good to ask questions although you should do some research yourself as well. smile.gif Read the first page for more information ok?

^ sweat.gif Not full lar but hopefully answers your questions. The same as getting any pet, I hope you think nicely before you get it. getting a pet means you're responsible for it till it dies. A piggie has an average lifespan of 6 years.

thumbup.gif But they make great companions and anti-stress agents during exams. I always study with Micheri on my lap and she seems to give me good encouragement.

Are you sure you're giving them up? Why don't you try again.

Clean all their stuff. Rearrange the whole thing. Bathe them all together and use hair dryer on them together. Then place them in the cleaned cage and see how it goes. If they get along fine at first I don't see why they shouldn't after a while. All one gender right?

I think it's all males. If all 1 gender shouldn't be a problem, which is why I asked him to try again. Unless there's a female in his collection.

Ah, not as much as bully. It just means that your Boru can get along with everyone else.

Like many animals, piggies need to fight a lil to establish who's dominant and who isn't. They should play nice once it's establised.

BTW, in what way bully?

@emino: Your Leon does look like a Leona. happy.gif I suggest you should try the way Juztiny suggested. If nothing pops up, it's a Leona/Luna.

1 male + 1 female = pregnant.

Your teacher no tell you in form 3? laugh.gif

happy.gif But muchan~ You should try to go fall in love with piggies again. I mean yeah, suggies are nice to have. But when you want something calm and non jumpy to pet and spend time with, piggies do a great job! Not to mention piggies are bigger so nicer to cuddle.

@emino: I'm glad you're not feeling sad about it. It really isn't about the gender but just the personality huh. smile.gif I hope Luna knows what a good owner you are.

Not a matter of replacing lar. When it comes to living things, none can be replaced when they are gone. smile.gif But we can always extend the family and welcome new people (and animals).

smile.gif But I'm sure you know what's good for yourself so you think of it on your own lar.
