What we call "normal" also have a breed name. American Shorthair is their name.

If yyou mean his parents and siblings have differnt brred from your boru, then the owner probably just placed boru with that family.

I went to Pet Wonderland Midvalley on Monday. There were 2 solid browns, 1 solid black and tri colored hamsters (although all normal lar).

Wah. I haven't seen one that price before. Rm 350 - RM 600 I've seen before la. For breeds not commercially available to Malaysians just yet.

Sigh. Most pet shop bought GP is like that. You should see Micheri when I just got her. Take your time la. Find a name you love ad is just right for him. Hehe...

Just stop at Taman Bahagia LRT. When you come out, you'll see that there is a way to walk all the way in front. Walk straight. You'll also see the jam that al the cars have to go through to go the same way as you. Anyway, as you walk you'll see a "siewek aquarium" on your left in the row of shops. You'll see a barber on your left also. Keep walking and you'lll see a "michelin tire". Walk on the same row and You'll see Dr Yeoh's clinic. But you better call to make an appointment cuz he's always busy.

BTW in the same area (from micheline tyre walk straight some more you'll see secret recipe. keep walking straight) You can find Pet Family and Min Tien Food Court.

@adrianne: This kinds of things take time. Plus you're the one who brought her to a vet and gave her medication right? The trip may have been very unpleasant for her so she associates you with that eperience. Slowly take time to gain her trust.

Plus you might be interpreting it wrong. How do you know she prefer their company over yours? Micheri freezes up and practically doesn't move when strangers touch her. I can see that she is uncomfortable and scared when she does his. But other people might see it in a way that Micheri is more tame to strangers mar. So how sure are you tha she prefers the company of others?

OMG muchan... So sudden... I'm so sorry... Poor Ollie must have caught some sort of disease back at the shop you bought him... Sigh...

And GP sickness doesn't show until it's almost too late...

Hey guys, my mum was complaining (don't know why also ) that Micheri grew really fat. I handle her daily so I can't really feel the difference. She was complaining that "Micheri must weigh about 500 gms now". (not complaining in a bad way. Just complaining in a teasing way).

So just for fun, I decided to weigh her with my mum's kitchen scale.

I know it's still kinda light for our standards but she weighed a whopping 660 gms. A lil higher than my mum's expectation.

She used to weigh less than 150 gms when she first came to me. She was also underaged and under nourished. Now become fat pig (in my opinion).

My mum now calls her "fei poh" which means fat girl.

Yes he is grooming you! He feels that you are part of his family and is doing social grooming with you! hey do that to bond with other members of their community. Congratulations Emino!

Answer is yes. I believe all creatures shit a lot. How much they shit depends on how much they eat.

But they can be toilet trained so no worries. And if they're smelly you can bathe them.

pets own milk is for all small animals ma. Because it is suitable even for lactose intolerant animals. It's not the milk.

Probably some disease caught from tank mates in the oetshop. Not unusual for animals to die sick in petshop. We won't know cuz the animals will just decrease in number. We might think it got sold ma.

Some GPs are happy alone (lik my girl). You just need to give her more attention.

Get from breeder lo. Book from Sharil la. Or best place is PPet Shack.

BTW guys, I don't really reccomend it (because they keep their animals in such a cruel and filthy way) but I just saw in Pet Safari that there is a cutry which is black and white. Not sure what gender.

Don't feel horrid. We have to be cruel to be kind. I used to do it to my ladies. Now they take all the food I give them.
