QUOTE(arremie @ Jul 22 2009, 01:48 AM) have tried it on floor alone, but very much prefer the marble slab~~~ really tighten the base and and overall freqmaybe this marble is one of the kind, slightly yellowish, the marble particles are very finely compresses ( when you dissect it, its very smooth unlike other marbles that are loosely composed(very rough) looks very loose, snap up a few pieces for the rest of hifi gear also. QUOTE(HornyAngMoh @ Jul 22 2009, 11:23 AM) Using Panny BD60 ( at the moment ). Good BD player a bit 'cheapo' & common thanksBTW u have got very nice HT set-up! That spk look very expensive! Pioneer BD, yeap BDP-52, thats my 1st preference the speakers are from Monitor Audio Silver Line series RS6 can say slightly abv average only la. |

QUOTE(arremie @ Jul 23 2009, 12:33 AM) I was at Yammy Kelana Jaya today n they have on display the new bdp 2900. Not for sale though and its 110v they use for demo only. Bloody expensive. Marantz/Pioneer bdp looks way better. for me,i never trust/set foot on another yammy BD(or whatever transprort) those days my yammy LD,1 year kaput, later another yammy DVD after 1 year kaput also. QUOTE(ar188 @ Jul 23 2009, 12:40 AM) dun think its way better than the common panny BDP lor...after you open inside, can see a cheapo Pioneer BD-rom drive as a Transport.. fully agree on the BDP-51FD but not the BDP-52 the transport very much refined (looks more impressive) so much for the elite illusion.. |

QUOTE(andychucky @ Jul 23 2009, 01:55 AM) Have you guys thought of using media players like WDTV? The PQ is quite the same with BD. Most with DTS 5.1 too. have a dvico too, like WDHD-TV are for hightech ppl who knows how to download and play around its a cool gadget, but do check out the thread also, problem on streaming of DTS and no hi-def like DTS HD True-HD/ MA ++advantage mkv playable ppl who have no PC knowledge wil have disadvantage purchasing, as they have to purchase DATA (movies etc) from shops |

anyone really did a side by side comparison on BD-60 and BDP-52 or BDP-320
from what i gather from Fair seems that all retailers, be it, panasonic, desa, pioneer ask to go for 52 or 71, 91 what sort of improvements, do we get, and based on price factor, is it worth that extra. thanks Edited Really tested BD-60 with its Plasma and its superb, like i say maybe its the Plasma that really bring out the difference>>> This post has been edited by moomoos: Jul 27 2009, 05:26 PM |

>>>>The DMP-BD60 has onboard decoding for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio Essential. That means it can decode those soundtrack formats so they can be played back on almost every HDMI-capable AV receiver. Bitstream output is also supported, if you'd rather the decoding be done in your AV receiver. (DTS-HD Master Audio Essential differs from standard DTS-HD Master Audio in that it lacks decoding for a few legacy DTS DVD soundtracks formats such as DTS 96/24, ES, ES Matrix, and Neo:6. It still decodes all the high-resolution Blu-ray DTS soundtracks.) <<<<
What does it simply means ~~~~ can it play DVD DTS-ES/EX Thanks |

QUOTE(emk @ Jul 28 2009, 11:07 PM) So far I have tried the following legacy DVD: R1 Star Wars II Attack of the Clones, DD EX R1 LOTR trilogy extended version, DTS-ES no problem for BD60. I was surprised that I'm able to send bitstream signal thru HDMI to my AVR. BD60 audio setup all bitstream and didn't use any co-ax. So what actually happened? anybody have tried Master & Commander: US BD with BD60? QUOTE(anfieldude @ Jul 28 2009, 11:44 PM) The processing cannot be done in the BD60. However, it can bitstream the DTS-ES/EX codec to you AVR for processing. This is norm for almost all BD players. got it..Thanksany difference on tis >>>>DTS-HD Master Audio Essential differs from standard DTS-HD Master Audio<<<< This post has been edited by moomoos: Jul 29 2009, 01:02 AM |
