Yamaha rxv3800. Sorry I don't get you. Meaning I have to upgrade my yammy's firmware or the BDP's? I'll try to upgrade my BD60 firmware this weekend. Thx for the pointer on the popping issue. I won't call it a pop though. At -20dB, it's more like an explosion!
*
I feel that upgrading is a very good step ( our engineers spent so much time doing R&D,for sure its to the better side ) upgrade both together not an issue also.
But if you really want, upgrade one at a time, and see whether you can differentiate the areas specified as,per upgrade....

question time, still haven't got a BD yet,

for those using sony 350, pana 60, 80, sharp, do you think you will upgrade to Pioneer BDP-52
Thank You

All my cables are concealed cables, and that has to be done during renovation. I've forgotten to include a cable for the center speaker during renovation. It was a rookie mistake and I'm not that bright, I know.  blush.gif

Of course I can add a center speaker now but that wouldn't look nice at all because of the dangling wire.

mind posting a pix of your setup

seriously i dont get it

You have a krp600m, i believe its not supported on walls with brackets,

1) to your pioneer i can understand if its supported by brackets on walls, you need conceal
2) the savvo, i presume its hung on walls, if yes then i understand the need to concealed
3) IF the center needs to be hung at wall underneath the LCD i understand also the need to conceal

but all these concealing stuff is only practical if your AVR and components are at one side so as you dont want to see the cables lying on the floor to speakers/ center/ and LCD

But if your LCD is properly rested on table cabinet top/or Racks, all your stuffs will be in the racks and cabinets, so you need not conceal already ma

I am really rclxub.gif on your setup, will understand better with pix to shareyour elite gadgets
thanks

That's called power adapter and is usually heavy and doesn't have many type of pins. I meant the ones with many type of pins, the "universal travel adapter".

user posted image

I actually own that. tongue.gif
*
To clarify matters, the pic above is solely a Universal Adaptor only which does not has any electrical circuits (or does it have circuits)but
have various retractable adaptor legs to suit different countries only ( that's y its called UNIVERSAL adaptor, and it [color=red]does not support any AC conversion
)
then you have to check your AC adaptor which voltge it supports

a true Universal AC adaptor always with a two pin and supports 110V~220V

Just tested the BDP-52,
on first looks, the picture depth is fantastic, sound is excellent
Colours too red and blacks too dark, dealer said not calibrated and tuned to the HD ready projector

Seems funny, he ask me to take the cheapest, sony 350 or the higher end 71 or wait for 72, dont go in the middle, ( rely dont understand wat he meant, said 52 is good but not worth the price, rclxub.gif
didn't mention about Pana 60 oso

should take the BD60 with you and replace the BDP52 in the setup to see any visual improvement on the more expensive pioneer..  laugh.gif

precisely, tapi mana dapat BD-60, dealer not selling le,
only selling pioneer, dont have Sony for comparison.

Any forumers compared b4, is pioneer 52 vs pana 60 / sony 350 really worth the extra $$
i know BD60 very good as i saw it at the Pana booth in KLAV, tapi no side by side compare le
thank you,
the funny thing also is the pana guy say if really quality go for pioneer 71(he himself oso using 71, that is b4 BD-60 available in market)

oh ya.. when i 1st got my 52, there was an intermittent vertical line of white noise on the right edge of my LED TV [COLOR=red]when I played BDs... it was there for the 1st 2 days & was still there even when I swapped the player. This noise/glitch disappeared after that & never came back... really dun understand it but glad it's gone tongue.gif

now this one simply goreng wan..  biggrin.gif  most jams can be settled within 30minutes..

the famous fed.hwy jam, no prob, just use the parallel roads either jalan universiti/ss2/jln damasara or the other side jln gasing..

the jalan ampang/tun razak...use the alternative roads.. same with setapak/gombak or kepong/selayang etc.. all got inner parallel roads wan..  thumbup.gif

Morning Everyone.... Happy Happy Sunday!!!!!!

seems so many issues on 52, 350, 60,
semalam wanted to get the 52, dealer say, as a fren either you take the 71,or wait, for JVC 1st,
Also he advise me, if i can really tahan the itch, wait till end year, as Players will be less than 1K, he say so its because denon is discontinuing their DVD line, so what you expect on BD Players Price
