if i am not mistaken..the 15% is not just for the holiday season....UK announced lowering their VAT....and it took effect almost immediately.

no i didnt find service like vpost around here.....but i do have co-workers coming over from UK regularly....so might as well hitch a ride..hehe

on the blu ray mod site..it said modification for bd35 is relatively simple...check out what it says for sony's machine...hehehe

as mentioned earlier....the mod kit from sto is SEK649.....SEK11XX to get the mod kit PLUS work....SEK1100 is abt RM450.

not in a hurry to do this yet..as this BD35 is region B and my PS3 is region A...think i am pretty well covered for now.

indeed.. the fan on my PS3 has been loud from day 1...it is operating normally....when the fan kicks in...sitting approx 4 m away from ps3, the fan is more noticeable than the fan in my pj which is abt 0.5m away from the sitting position.

aiman...maybe we should apply same effort on the stock market..at least there's some chance to make some money.......paying attention to amazon seems to be have a negative effect on financial standings....

apologies if i have made the rash assumptions that you have not applied the same on stock market

probably holds true for video comparison as well.. maybe have to set to full potential of the BD, like output HDMI via 1080p24 (original BD signal) to see if any difference between the 2 players..
I wonder how BD-35 vs S350 is how? (in video quality aspect)

there's an user's review on cnet where the person purchased both the S350 and BD35 and overall he/she said BD35 trumped S350 in both aspects.

the link to that is somewhere on this thread.

glau...that is because national treasure 2 UK release is region free...

i have seen many european release that indicates B on the package and disc when in reality they're region free....same goes with those region A release.

think the difficulty with region B releases is that even if its the same title..and depends on where it is released, it can be locked or it can be region free. eg. German release Nat'l treasure 2 is region locked.

i see, that IR derives from Ingenieur, engineer auf deutsch. funny why ingenieur is used when BEM is a British legacy.
