lucky its not like 100 strays need help here eheheh.. just small number...

there's even one lost kitten last time, scratching my door around midnight. i freak out.. tongue.gif guess what, he is a loyal kitten now smile.gif very very loyal... that's why i like saving or rescue kitten/cat because they appreciate me and their life better. when ever i walk around the house.. they will come and great you although you are no longer keep them. i always touch by a cats rather than a human around me. weird...

i have 3 orphan cat that i raise since 10 days all right... they are are still with me.. this 3 orphan are so different than other of my cats... they thank you for saving their life, and didn't ask more than that. it is ok for them if i didn't attend them.. all 3 brother and sisters has the same behavior and attitude, they don't complaint much, they eat whatever you gave them..... different from my other cat, if i didn't accompany them, they will become so "mengada-ngada" eheheheh..
*
hmhm...
but i cant stand their POO.. argh... like human.. so smelly...
i wish i could make it...

even guineapig poo not so smelly.... heheheh... laugh.gif

Scientifically its called Animal Euthanasia. Usually is done by injection. You can read more about it here.

And yes, after that, the pet will slowly die, in a more humane way. If a pet has a chronic disease and no treatment can cure it, you have two choices;

1) PTS (put to sleep) OR
2) Take care of your pet, make her/he more comfortable...and eventually will die.

How they die? (Taken from wiki)
"Pets are almost always euthanized via intravenous injection,[citation needed] typically a very high dose of a barbiturate such as pentobarbital. Unconsciousness, respiratory then cardiac arrest follow rapidly, usually within 30 seconds[2]. Observers generally describe it as a quick and peaceful death. Sometimes the animal makes a gasping sound after the death, which is air being exhaled by the lungs. The animal may twitch for a moment or urinate."

I took care of a friend's cat who's diagnosed with FIP Feline Infectious Peritonitis. My friend and I decided not to put the cat to sleep. I know its not the best alternative ever, but we loved the cat dearly and think this is the best for us and yes, that one thing called 'hope'. A very strong cat, he survived for another 2 months.

Pet owner should read more on FIP as this is quite a common disease and cats won't survive with this viral disease. Try to keep your cat as indoor as possible. Not caged la, hehe.

Was an MMU student before, now working in Cyber, still. Haha! biggrin.gif

One of my cats was from Cyberia. Found him after an accident, with terrible injuries on his front leg. Brought him to 2 different vets, neither one can save his paw. Don't worry, the leg is still there, but he can walk (like a kangaroo) and climb tree like other cats (haha, stunt man). Well, he's pretty much a tripod (3 legged) now and happily living in my parents house. I come back home occasionally to check on the cats (bathe, inspect like a vet, de-kutu fied).

Yeah, I understand. There's always the joy and also the pain adopting cats, or any other animal. Remembering the day I cried in my office (I was in tears in the middle of a meeting with clients, can you imagine?) when I found out my 9 yr old cat died of jaundice. I wasn't there to see him die, such a painful chapter of my life.

Well, I'm still proud the fact that I adopt stray cats rather than buying it from shop and still manage to keep it for more than 11 yrs now. I still love to get myself a Turkish Van though. Would be cool to get a 'swimming cat' as your pet, eh?

This is Brownie icon_rolleyes.gif she have been with me for 2 weeks.
when first my brought her home. she can eat kibbles, but she prefer Milk, but my dad bought milk that so not good. So i went to Pet Shack and buy the Pets Own Milk. and feed her with milk for 1 weeks, and now she no longer need to be feed with milk.

So experts, can u determine Brownies age? and whats wrong with her left eye? since the first time we brought her home, her eyes penuh dengan tahi mata untill now.

Brownie seems to be very very very active, she sleep only for awhile and then play play play.

Cute kitten you have there! rclxms.gif About the eye discharge, you can clean it with warm water and a towel. I think Brownie is around 2 months old. Did you take Brownie to the vet for checkup?

Cute kityyyyy!!!

Eye discharge can be normal, and like the others, I really really recommend you to bring the dear kitty to vet for a checkup. That might be a sign of infection or parasites/worms (from the mother). Go for vaccination and de-worming of you want your kitten to be sick-free. nod.gif

From the pic it does looks like a young kitten, at least 7 weeks and above.

You made the right move by feeding the cat with a proper milk rclxms.gif . Learn my lesson 10 yrs ago when I fed my kittens (who is now 11 yr old) with normal milk. Expect major diarrhea on walls, haha!

And last but not least, don't EVER feed your cats with ikan goreng. She/he'll be addicted to it...forever! Like my spoiled cat, Hitam. And its not healthy. Stick with kibbles aka dry food and wet food (tuna) occasionally.

Good luck with Brownie! icon_rolleyes.gif

at the moment i think the suitable one is Iams kitten with minimal budget ehehehe..

KL royal canin price will increase next week.. increase by 30%. Malacca also i heard increase next week 30%. Iams increase alil bit about rm5-10 since last 2 months. You can also go for Science Plan Kitten (which is vet recommend).

I was in a bit of shock when you mentioned eggs, but scramble eggs is fine, as long as its not raw. Here a good article on what not to feed to your cats.

Iams, Eagle Pack, etc. can make your wallet 'berlubang' in a way. But yeah, Elfreak had suggested some line of good brands for your kitten. My advice, go to petshop that sells dry food in bulk or the one by weight (the one that got the whole 'tong'). Haha.

And no, its never too late to change Brownie's appetite. Do it gradually (bit by bit). If you look behind a typical cat food description, they always provide on how to change cat's eating habit.

Changing diet (taken from Purina)
For the first couple of weeks of settling in your new kitten, you should stick to the same brand of kitten food recommended by the breeder or rescue centre, unless there is an obvious problem. Change is stressful, and a diet change at the same time as coping with a new home, can cause tummy upsets in a youngster. If you want to change your kitten's diet after a couple of weeks, you should do so gradually.

* Put a little of the new food in with the current food and mix it all together.
* Over the course of seven to ten days, gradually increase the amount of new food added, whilst reducing the amount of the former food until a complete change over has been made.

Did I say grass is good for your cats too? A good 'pelawas', hehe.

just be careful not to buy the repack version... some of them are the one from expired one. .they repack it so you think its new + cheaper.

buying bigger pack will save your money, and it last longer. 3.63kg of iams kitten is about RM66. 10kg of iams kitten is rm132.. you can see the different right... if your cat eat 3.63kg a month, and right now you have RM150, why don't buy 10kg for RM132, and it will last for 3 months smile.gif but this is your choice smile.gif i prefer buying in big pack.

if you only have 1 cat, why not get the super premium or premium smile.gif
