we use water to clean the bearing and wipe it with cloths right? i'm thinking will the bearing rust if i clean it with water since they is going to be small water particle trap inside the bearing.
*
as i say zippo can be used to clean bearings and it wont rust
do read my posting carefully there is step by step ways to clean the bearings stated

Interesting....  hmm.gif
Hi Ballwen,

The rules issit against the motor only.... how about modified on to chassis like etc: cutting chassis, applied glue onto chassis and limitation on roller can be used..
*
I think there is some limitation here as well. You got to use the original chassis out from the box. But i will double check when i am there before the race.

well u can mod your car to those similar setting.
u need a smooth drive train which reduses battery power loss
well seosoned motor
if can use all new bearings make sure u take out all the grease in it and put bearing oil
use a softshell cover it also help in the reducing weight category try not to put so many fancy stuff on the car

[attachmentid=857103]
a sample of a modded ms

u can also check their previous race pics for refference
they do spray oil like wd4o to the motor to increase its performance
hope this can help
let me know if u need anymore info
*
Thanks bro David. i think i will start cleaning all my bearings. Will play Super TZ-X for SPEED since FM is slower.
So where do u get bearing oil? I use Titanium grease for my bearings. But it turns BLACK easily. Is that ok? Can i replace WD40 for bearing oil?
Thank you.

any rc shop will sell bearing oil.
do not use grease for the bearings
u can use wd40 as bearing oil but u need to spray the bearings every run , but wd40 will rust your bearings
i suggust that u look for rp7 its a green can or a more comoly used in sg will be the red can toshiba contact cleaner smaller easy to carry but a bit smelly.ooppss let out too many secrets hahahaha

if can u post your car that u intend to use for the race

Bro david. This is the last race they had.

I dun see any obstacle. In fact there are no obstacle at all. And yet they apply brakes on their cars.
I think the best choice would be Super TZ-X.

What do you guys think?

Look at the number of turns they are playing.

Finally i saw a HUMP at RACE 2. But look at the number of straights they are giving... Any ghost car also can pass!
So i dun see any reason to apply brakes.

Oh yes BTW one of the rules stated that repairs only allowed for cars which arent able to compete further.. time given only 1min and will be monitored closely and there will be two rounds only. Seems strict.

Some settings....

i see many of them spraying WD40 like nobody's business. And personally i dun like the smell.
Any advice to bring out the best from the motor?
And BTW, i will be using normal motor, not those pro ones.. Should be using ATOMIC TUNED as this is the only type.

Feel free to give advice.

testing of cars
the judges will arrange for contestants to test their cars on the day before the competition and there will be no more testing of cars on the day of the competition itself, therefore contestants who wish to test their cars are advised to do so on the allocated date and time

registration
registration for the competition opens one day before the testing day and on the day of the competition itself, meaning you can register on both saturday and sunday.
contestants who register earlier get the privilege to choose the numbers for their cars. the organisers will let the contestants compete according to the sequence of the numbers during the competition.

Body
cant drill holes (i think) and cant cut except for the wheels thr and the part where u attach the roller. transparent bodies need to stick stickers.
