actually Madrid would be better off if they treat robinho more as a valued player. robinho is comparable to ronaldo in skills...

but robinho has been having disciplinary problems with the team.
so if he behave himself n plays as his salary pays him...

he shud be fine

I've been following this rumors about Robinho for quite a time and to be honest at first I was almost lost my respect towards him.. But now, I feel pity for him.. It's like Madrid's didn't even TRY to pay a little bit of respect to Robinho.. things just getting from bad to worst and to be treated as a bargaining chip must hurt him a lot.. No need to elaborate his contribution as he been quite heroic earlier last season..

well robinho's story is quite sad..he was one of the world's best player ....i duno if the rotation in coaches is the cause of tis...but hes having a great season with madrid last season and i think hes going to leave for chelsea soon , cos madrid showed little respect towards him...as to compare him to ronaldo ... i still thinks a few season later...he can be as good as ronaldo or even better...he jus lacks hes form...

though... i mentioned earlier that robinho deserve some respect from madrid. i believe on his end, he do need to tighten up his own partying nights.

its more of a win win situation if both madrid n robinho respect each other.

the news is up that chelsea is closing down on robinho.

For all the bullshit I have read over the past few days regarding Madrid showing little respect to Robinho (when it shd be the other way ard...go figure), the latest AS report says that we are going to offer Robinho a contract extension and pay rise if he stays of course.

The next time someone talks shit about Madrid again based on just hearsay without any facts I'm going to flame him till kingdom come.

An interesting article I came across, the full version can be found here, here's the edited version concerning Madrid:

It's the Real deal for Toshack

JOHN TOSHACK last night told the incredible story of how his commitment to Spain’s Euro 2008 winning captain Iker Casillas cost him his dream job with Real Madrid.

Toshack’s Wales team failed to reach the Euro finals, but the influence of the Welsh boss on the tournament shone bright in Vienna on Sunday night when Casillas lifted the trophy following Spain’s 1-0 win over Germany.

Toshack, left, groomed a then teenage Casillas for the top by handing him a shock Real Madrid debut in a game away to Atletico Bilbao back in 1999.

Senior Bernabeu board figures wanted Toshack to instead pick either veteran German goalkeeper Bodo Ilgner or Argentina No1 Albano Bizarri.

But Toshack was insistent on going with youth – a policy he has echoed with Wales – and told the directors he was sticking with Casillas.

The Spanish Euro winner made three errors in his first three games which cost Real Madrid goals and crucial victories.

Toshack was dismissed ... and a few months on saw the new-look young Real team he had rebuilt, with Casillas in goal, beat Valencia to win the Uefa Champions League.

The Welsh boss afforded himself a quiet smile of satisfaction on Sunday night as he watched his protege go on to lift the giant European Championship trophy after Fernando Torres’ goal accounted for Germany.

Taking up the story, Toshack said: “I made my own Cardiff City debut as a 16-year-old under Jimmy Scoular. The person marking me for Orient that day, Paul Went, was just 15.

“So throwing in young players was something ingrained into me at an early age and it’s a method I have followed throughout my career as a manager, including with Wales.

“Casillas was a teenage rookie, but I saw something in him one day in training which made me leap out of my seat in the dugout.

“It was an international break, when there are only about three senior players left with Real, and we were watching them play in an 11-a-side game with the youth players.

“It was a hot, sunny day and we were almost yawning on the sidelines. Then, suddenly, Casillas made a stunning reflex stop from six yards, got up and dived across his goal to also keep out the rebound.

“Who is this, I suddenly thought to myself?

“Ilgner was injury-prone at the time and seemed to spend more time in the swimming pool than the training pitch, Bizarri wasn’t to my liking, so I just thought let’s go with Casillas.

“His debut game was in Basque territory away to Atletico Bilbao, a hotbed of a venue for any Real Madrid team, and Casillas threw one into his own goal as we drew 2-2.

“The following Wednesday we went to Greece, drew 3-3 with Olympiakos in the Champions League, and Casillas threw another one into his own net.

“On the Sunday we were at home to league leaders Deportivo La Coruna and he made another error as we drew 1-1.

“None of those results were bad in the circumstances, but the criticism started and people began to question my decision to pick Casillas.

“I went with Bizarri for the next game against Rayo Vallecano. We won 3-2, but he was at fault with the two goals. I had a bit of a go at Bizarri, said Casillas would be my regular choice from then on.

“We beat Molde of Norway 1-0 to top our Champions League group and shortly afterwards I was gone.

“People say I should have bitten my tongue, been a bit more diplomatic, but there we go.

“It’s funny, but a few months on I was in the TV commentary box watching my Real Madrid team beat Valencia to win the Champions League. With Casillas in goal, I should hasten to say.”

Toshack quipped: “I’m still waiting for my part of the bonus from that triumph!”

He went on: “I’m absolutely delighted to see the strides Casillas has made since then. Seeing him lift the trophy for Spain at the weekend clearly gave me enormous satisfaction, particularly when you think back to people questioning my judgement at the time..

“As well as being a terrific shot-stopper, Casillas was always a level-headed individual who was keen to improve.

“Even though other people doubted me, I knew we had something special on our hands and I was sticking by him.

“Even if, in a bizarre sort of way, he virtually ended up costing me my job!”

Latest news:

Spanish radio station Onda Cero reported yesterday that Real Madrid have reached a "principle of agreement" with Manchester United over Ronaldo. Ronaldo's transfer to Santiago Bernabéu will be finalised in the next few days and will involve a fee in the region of 90 million euros, thus becoming the most expensive transfer fee in football history, if confirmed.

ronaldo should score in every game he plays in the future.
that should worth the price real madrid pays to get his signature.
90 mil euros is a hefty amount.

he really need to score dozens of goals...
else... that hefty 90mil can easily buy A FEW GOAL SCORERS wherby their collective goals can easily bypass ronaldo's goal tally.

after man u offloaded ronaldo... they can easily buy a few good players.
