Added on October 17, 2008, 10:41 pmactually u can ask the manager to explain.
they cannot charge u without ur consent

Actually I should make a big huha regarding this gearbox oil change at my 1st 1000km
service without my consent, but I am not the nitpicky type who will sue their butts off if
they did anything out of line to my car.

After all, it's only 20 bucks, not worth my time to pursue the matter. In fact,
I should thank them for forcing me to refer to the manual and found that the correct
gearbox oil to use is the Tranself TRJ 75W/80, not their "standard" GL4-90W generic
mineral oil.

I wonder what Renault will say to Proton for not sticking to their specs. If Proton can substitute
the Savvy's gearbox oil with different specs from Renault's, I am not surprised at all if they
also substitute the AMT hydraulic fluid with some "same red colour" Proton ATF fluid from Petronas,
most probably at a much lower cost than Renaultmatic D3 SYN.

Looks like Renaultmatic, feels like Renaultmatic, smells like Renaultmatic. Semua nya OK! biggrin.gif

If you drive a Savvy AMT and you are asking this question means that your AMT hydraulics are OK. cool2.gif

i think the kruk comes from the pressure pump.
jst a quick check:
listen to ur car when u open ur door.
any sound? i believe thats when start to charge the pump.
then turn the key to complete the pump to full pressure.

the kruk means not enough pressure?

yes. there is some sound when open door. the clutch pump is activated. in facts i can hear it too when i stop my car for drive thru at mcd.

mine kruk kruk sound happen while changing gears. but not too bad. not noticeable. i could say the sound heard like i am changing gear in manual car. uh. how can i explain it. (reverse gear btw. normal gears no sound at all. sweat.gif )

so far only 2 times i heard loud kruk kruk sound. in D mode. from gear 2 -> 1. its like the robotic arm didnt press the clutch deep enough. i donno. sad.gif

wahh. 2008 really no sound aaa? sweat.gif sad.gif

what is that link for?

btw, twice also, i put R but gear not changing. kindda got time lagging (2-3 secs). i think its due to not enough pressure and clutch pump is taking it own sweet time to build up the pressure. happened early in the morning; and when i start my car, 1st thing i need to do is reverse. sweat.gif

well.. mine totally no sound. oni a solid mechanical sound when change gear.

i did complain to proton before i got my car about they used the wrong oil in the amt. they did take note so maybe my car is a result of that.

do change ur amt oil if u have the kruk kruk sound. i fear it will wear off the pump as well as the clutch plate.

izzit? u meant after 50k km still survive? i need them to enlighten me so i wont worry much on my car. smile.gif  sweat.gif

.....I have several friends in some other forums which they've had their AMT car clocked somewhere 120k km and still never give them ANY issues (or they're just subconsciously ignored the issues...who knows....)

Now while I've known how to contained my AMT problem, new problems comes up..... doh.gif

My wiper if I leave it at INT mode for an extended period it'll stop automatically. When it stops the wash will not trigger the wiper as well. It'll work once the wiper stalk is moved to other position....

Preliminary examination shows timer relay is working perfectly. this is YET another intermitten problem for my Savvy..... rclxub.gif
