can any1 tell me the estimated price for savvy bumper replacement? I recklessly bump it when i reverse my car...damn heartache...my stupidity

it would be great if can recommend any gud SC? my Savvy jz gt 1K service only. huhuhu~

aigoo.. just 1K km already langgar.. ouch.. sympathy on you.. normal or with body kit? if normal one i think roughly rm300++ without paint..
if with body kit, add another rm350 for it..

after i hear from mr ho (RSauto boss), terkejut one.. so different the price.. protong got rm350 just for stamping a big their own logo on renault original packaging i think.. huhu.. not a good thing to do la protong..

ohh...mine wif body kit.

so under warranty, can get outside to do the repair?

so can recommend any centre?

Change new sensor type can realy solve the problem...?

sure does..

for tdc = hard to start even after 5-10 time crank.. dirty sensor or connector.. just mod the connector.. cut of the old one n straight away use clips n solder it (DIY techky - send to RSauto in puchong rm30)..

for coil = stutter n not smooth ride.. can diy if just plug cable @ replace with iswara(plug cable head only - normally one cable prob).. savoc.net got how to do it..

for trottlebody = 2nd gear n 3rd gear jerk at low rpm.. just clean up the dirt with kerosene @ silicone grease spray also can.. open airbox, unscrew 4 screw then carefully clean up the carbon n oil sump inside the trottlebody..



thats some of problem for mt n amt..

amt = sudden change/gear stuck / indicator lite up.. protection system that stop @ jammed the system when the system overheat.. some said wiring, some said the accumulator diaphragm fail so the system got dirt n jammed.. talk to proton mechanic.. said that every 40000km must check the amt pump n robotic.. just that they lazy(this is why it doesnt appear in the manual book) to open n check it.. haha..

if rpm meter suddenly zero. then engine feel no power. check ur gearbox sensor if not mistaken.

and if not mistaken. change new tdc sensor the probs will come back too. huhu. happened on mt and amt.

i think, if wanna drive savvy, we need to be mechanic la. huhu. everything need to know. haih. if drive other car easy. no need to think anything about it. i think.

ya.. thats why some say this engine manja.. every sensor must know n have to take care one..

bout gearbox sensor i dint know.. how mush is it? the gearbox sensor?

my god... wic mean i will end up the same problem no matter MT / AMT i choose...?
if diy the tdc sensor to clip & solder,will surely solve the tdc sensor prob?
coz im thnkng to get 1 savvy...but sounds many prob, i had drive my college's savvy, very nice... i realy hate whn own car is die sudently at trafic light! kindly advice..

u wanna buy new or 2nd? if new no prob.. anything happen just send to SC.. they will replace the tdc..

if 2nd, just prepare what i just put there.. its all the normal problem for mt/amt.. thats the major prob..

ready for small2 one right what i kena.. my starter kaput.. sometime the lampu kaput also.. can solve this using VS = voltan stabilizer..

for the tdc, if bout the hard to start yes for until the sensor kaput.. the renault expert said its because of the connection.. RSauto is one of renault expertise shop.. if u go there, only renault engine.. no other engine.. hehe..

im planing to get the new 1..new car will become old ma,so wan to no and prepare... coz here i cant find 2nd hand 1.
beside here dont hav renault expert de... voltan stabilizer? install it? how old was ur car??

mine already put there in my sig.. nearly 4 year already.. i think the previous owner like to crank the car when it cant start thus making the starter kaput.. its my bad luck the starter kaput right after 3 week of using the car.. if within first week, free repair from the shop that i buy..

u're from where? if in malaysia got special promotion now, 5year warranty /175000km.. so nice if any prob just go to nearest SC..

well, knowing the problem make u more prepare.. so u wont be fool by the shop/sc.. thats the idea of community.. to share info n helping each other..

*any CRU / NRU here? we're planning for a TT (teh tarik @ meet up) at PD (yet to confirm) on 28 june 2009.. can join if u want.. at least we savvy owner can share n know each other in real world..

promotion..?? izzit? will ask! me at sarawak de... thnk to get the lite 1. actualy neo and savvy is my choice,but thnk of fuel cost, i gues savvy is fuel cost saver..

neo much sportier.. but please take 1.6 if u wanna buy neo.. 1.3 underpower.. not enough sport maa.. hehe.. later other laught at u one..

its lil bit small (the roof only less than 4cm if i'm in neo).. compare with savvy which have lotsa space above my head..

ya, do ask them bout the 5 year warranty.. the lite? take the white one.. so nice n rare.. later can make up.. but u have to live with no power window (can mod later mayb).. some u can add later.. 35k n the neo rm48k.. so much different.. how come?

sorry. actually, its gearbox speed sensor. can refer here: http://savoc.net/v2/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=4791

as long as u take manual. should b no worries. cos y? all those engine sensor probs can b fix DIY cheaply if u go chk savoc.net forum. the only big probs that cannot be fix DIY cheaply is the AMT transmission.

if ur car suddenly die at traffic means ur sensor very dirty one. if u failed to spot smthing wrong with ur car, u should b failed to be savvy owners. hehe. all those dirty sensor come with symptom or warning.

its not like ur car suddenly die at traffic. there's pre warning symptom that u need to identify. once u know, check the sensor. for sure no probs when driving.

for my case, sometime i can't start my engine after 5mins i shut down the engine. thats means ur tdc sensor starting to get dirty. better clean it up.

if hard to start in morning; or cold start. better check ur ignition coil.


well. hehe. im not sure. im using the new tdc sensor. change under warranty. so far still good.

Tht's a really good info... today evening i had my 1st time in my life '2nd gear low rpm jerking'... kinda feel excited pulak~
means my tb is dirty.. can i clean it by revving? dirty tb won't lead to anything else rite?
But i saw ppl saying tht 2nd gear jerking is because of tdc sensor also?

die at traffic light is for amt only rite? when they don't put to neutral and pull the handbrake, instead they hold the foot brake which is heating up the robotic thingy... MT doesn't stall at traffic light right?

Savvy is not really fuel cost saver... it helps, but ur right foot is the best fuel cost saver... haha, like mine, i don't think so my savvy is fuel saver... kinda get the same mileage as my dad's camry 2.0

oh.. so u start the car after 5 mins u turned off the car.. to check the tdc sensor? Mt also will stall if tdc dirty?

no no. not trying to chk my car.

i went to 7e for a while. alone. so i need to turn off my car's engine la.

later after i back to my car, i cant start my car. my engine still hot yet cannot start. its one of the symptom ur tdc need to be chk out lor. huhu. send to sc, they replace the sensor. till now no jerking at 2nd gear. no probs starting the engine. huhu.

but, if u got probs with cold start. i mean, in the morning. where ur engine still cold. if cannot start, u might need to chk u ignition coil. huhu.

ya that's true. the reason i couldn't start my car the past few days and suddenly engine died is because of spoilt tdc sensor. so yesterday i brought my car to proton to fix. cost me rm320 for the new sensor. aiyooo. in the last 2 years, i had changed one already but that time it's under warranty. this is the 2nd time already
