12km/l ??  shakehead.gif How is it possible?
Super heavy rev-happy right leg?
I also rev it quite often, but still consistently get 16km/l. Tire pressure checked? hmm.gif
*
only sometimes quite heavy.. but always chg gear at max 3k rpm only... and full city drive... urs 16km/l got highway?

QUOTE(NOX @ Jun 2 2009, 02:00 PM)
sacrifice comfort? mind to tell me?

my car is approx 4 year.. 2005..

bout fuel, mine for 200km drop 2 bar.. thats like rm18~20.. been driving like crazy to test the engine.. so 11/12km per liter i think..
*
those bars kinda link up ur suspensions... when ur rght tire hit a pothole, the left 1 will depress too... ride comfort not so good... but if u can sacrifice it for cornering ability, then it's really a good way... smile.gif

rm18-20 means around 10 liters of petrol... 200km/10l.. 20km/l... damn good!:D

QUOTE(Thunder_Bolt @ Jun 2 2009, 11:10 PM)
i read somewhere got people recommend to use citroen or peugeot coolant. they said very good.

Added on June 2, 2009, 11:13 pm

Mine one is wandering between 12km/l to 15km/l
combination of both city and highway drive.
*
Is your car a new car? as in, 1 or 2 yrs old? cuz i think facelifted savvy's are not so good in fuel consumption anymore... the build quality is bad too... Mine, everything is so loose, vibrate everywhere... and the engine is so much rougher... real sad... but very happy when i rev it to 5.5k rpm... hahah icon_rolleyes.gif

Heavy footer and traffic jam is almost everyone's problem... Mine is heavy footer plus tons of traffic lights sweat.gif

QUOTE(NOX @ Jun 4 2009, 07:13 AM)
mineral is a big nono to renault i think.. your car feel heavier n not enough protection.. u need to add X1R or some oil treatment to cover the different between mineral n semi-syntetic oil.. can use what kinda oil as long as protection formula got inside the oil.. some suggest shell HX7, some Castrol..
for long distance+speedy driver, better use fully-syntetic..

bout atf, stick with ELF la wei.. that thing cost more than rm9k (gearbox).. please use the one that in the manual suggest.. later rosak u menangis one..

*just my 2 cent advice.. mostly taken from savoc.net..

owh btw, any savoc member here?
*
Yes mineral oil does make your car feel heavier... rough... noisy... no pickup... etc etc... Cause I'm using those in my car... If occasional speedy driver? hope semi can do the job, cause petronas fully is very expensive... icon_idea.gif

*
white savvy is really nice... so, your cutey little snow white have her rims changed already?

IMO .. Savvy Lite really do need to get their rims changed before doing any other things..! rclxm9.gif

Bodykit, how bout R3? but, cost like 1-2k.. expensive rclxub.gif

Wow... Amt's are so scary... but proton is not really fair to the amt buyers... they should have thought them about amt before selling the car to them... now, so many problems, owner cannot sell their cars, spoil the image of savvy... reli feel sad for them...

:: Just scratch my car when parking in the house... DAMN!!! mad.gif

junyen, u lesen L ka? aiyoo.. byk kesian oo.. scratch can use sticker to cover.. if kemek, then its hard to cover..

bout the amt issue, i think proton should already done some research on the amt but they still wanna try it before people complaint maybe..

savoc already meet face to face with proton regarding amt problem but the solution yet to know.. we can only try to pre-long lifetime not totally solve the problem..
*
haha... better abit, lesen P... it's ok la... mmg alot of scratches on my rear wheel arc... too fat wheel arc and my side mirror is tilt up to see more cars beside me... icon_rolleyes.gif

done some research? huhu. but i bet, they didnt change anything. yes. already met. and u know what they say? live with it. mad.gif
mine not yet 80k la.  sweat.gif 26k only. baru 1 year. right now no probs. before? yes. first 3 months, my gear jam at gear 3 once. auto to manual. suddenly turn to N from D. sweat.gif send to sc. they reset. then give some advice. if happened again, need to send to bigger sc. but lucky after that nothing happened.
*
I think if u drive it right.. maintain it right... should be ok... since renault have used it for so long and still using it... i believe the 'standard' is there... smile.gif

junyen, bout the forum.. yes upgrading already so now chat at Savoc.net V2 ..

haha.. me so new to car.. so afraid one.. and driving in kl is so so so so giving me headache..

on last wed, me driving at bangsar to fetch my gf.. one indian toyota trying to get in my way from left lane(under lrt bangsar - massive jam as always).. i block him cause its my way.. later then he potong behind me n then trying to hit me from right side.. 2 - 3 time.. wah so lansi.. people dont give way u wanna bang their car? glad that i move a bit everytime he try to himpit me.. demm stupid moron..

please la.. all people also queue in jam, dont just simply cut others lane..
*
Hmm about this, I'm always the loser in squeezing, cause dowan to risk my car, if they light up their signal, then they definitely have my lane... they're being nice mah~ But if I want to cut to the other side of the road, I'll do the nice way 1st, and as usual, guys driver won't give any mercy... then I'll have to squeeze thru it... which is bad for fuel economy! doh.gif

Sigh..our country's drivers are quite uncivilized.. doh.gif If u let them cut into ur lane, they wont bother to raise their hand to say thank u..they dont even bother to use signal in the first place. Americans or europeans will rolll down their windows n wave at u to say thank u..
*
I agree with that... But maybe the weather is too hot... air cond is not cold enuff... so they don't even bother to scroll down their windows.. laugh.gif

From 1st gear? I rmb having it when i pull off hard from traffic light ( syok syok sendiri drag race~ biggrin.gif) and once when i pull off from a sloppy traffic light... I always thought it's clutch slip due to my bad driving skills...

Do u mean for amt only?

borat,
Dunno bout bestari... but,
fc, go for viva
accel, go for myvi
top speed, go for savvy
Handling, go for savvy... but don't hope too much(body roll is alot), but better thn myvi, others i dunno...
long journey with lots of begs, go for blm
but long journey with lots of speed, go for savvy
maintenance go for perodua cars.. relative of toyota... jap cars are easier to maintain
a practical car(point A to point B), go for myvi,viva,or mb blm
a fun but rather troublesome car ( depends on your luck thou!), go for savvy

Just my opinion... unsure.gif

i think got the 5K discount ( trade in ) lar..

im driving savvy lite white.

Things that not included in Lite are :
rear wiper, reverse sensor, foglight, back headrest, sport rim, rear spoiler, audio control steering, bonnet net, seat height adjustor, power window, alarm, air bag, abs, no body color side mirror .. err what else eh? .

its just a basic model..

as for the cool reverse sensor with LCD eh?  how big is the LCD eh ? where to put leh ?
*
I think we can take out our clarion head unit and fit in the lcd

About savvy lite... I'm driving a black 1 too... u forgot the exhaust pipe

wow.. all that u mention mix m-line n h-line lor..

abs, airbag (srs) just available h-line..

audio control steering? i dunno..

well, for me if u got the money and wanna buy new just go for the lite..

just bear in mind no power window.. so need to add one by one later.. alarm also important..
*just back from PSC, my clutch cable in danger zone, tdc need to replace, both my front rim bengkok already.. demmit.. last and really make my pocket bocor later, my backright absorber already leak..

clutch = rm30.71, rim = rm1200~1800, absorber = rm300++

T-T (me crying now buying 2nd car).. planning slowly repair one by one using priority table.. cable>rim>absorber (rim n absorber vice verse)..
*
rim so expensive? I changed to myvi rims, 500++ only
wonder why savvy absorber so weak... getting original or other brand?

QUOTE(borat @ Jun 8 2009, 09:16 PM)
Walaweyyy...i dun have any idea why people keep saying that my choice to get savvy is not a good ones. i tried to explain with some facts why it was my choice. Unfortunately most of them prefer Myvi or Viva. ;-?
*
it's normal... perodua have better designs(from daihatsu or toyota)... and when ppl think about local made hatch back, they think about perodua... kancil, kelisa, kenari, myvi, viva... proton hatch backs are not so popular... like tiara~

well its mentality n support of sparepart.. if savvy is using campro mini@ if campro can fit in savvy sure the sale will boast.. but cause using renault and not all shop dare to touch this engine cause no sparepart@part expensive cause import from france.. lolz..

new savvy come with bodykit.. nicer..

but one most killingpoint is space for people at the back.. between savvy n myvi, i think myvi a bit spacious at the back seat @ that why its body is more bigger n heavier = slower pickup..

myvi rims 500? wow.. mind to tell me where the shop.. is it ori myvi rim?

absorber, prefer to change to wira later..

*if not swap tire will make the tire wear out@"haus" more quickly is it?
*
I think you can get it even cheaper... ori but mb 2nd hand...
Mine is 2nd hand, the owner only used it for few days... and the rims are painted ( black inside, shiny outside) 500+
If normal 1 without paint, shud be around 400... my shop is near kemuning... not sure wat's the name of the place already...
Myvi rims are as heavy as steel rims ( I compared it when I changed the rims) .. but shud be strong~

QUOTE(JusTea @ Jun 8 2009, 10:38 PM)
So nobody wants to install rear wiper on their Savvy lite?

I think probably during heavy-duty rain one will need it otherwise, dont think will hv much use.
*
rear wiper not much use... I haven't install one...
Why hatch backs need rear wiper, sedan don't need?

QUOTE(death_nite @ Jun 8 2009, 11:13 PM)
Junyen,
i prefer blm rather than viva. nod.gif
just go for it if u wanna install it. i think its possible to install rear wiper outside. heavy rain, i will turn on my rear wiper or else i wont b able to see anything behind my car. sweat.gif
*
blm is indeed better than viva... I wonder why people buy viva? i cannot think of any reason for buying a viva... it's ugly, it's not powerful, it's not handling any better, and it's expensive!!!

nope.. blame on quality.. some said viva better quality.. its mentality of malaysian parent..

daughter wanna buy savvy then dad said why proton? buy perodua better.. myvi big so option they got is viva.. well its because first size of the car, second because of image the company bring.. proton quality still not that good compare with perodua @ toyota..

not that i against it but thats why viva much popular then savvy.. but driving savvy much fun.. some of my friend who drive viva said savvy engine so quite, viva will scream loud (3 cyclinder what)..

well most said viva expensive but i said you pay for what u want @ quality that is.. just some problem here n there (small2 one which cover by warranty - just hassle to go to SC to repair)..

*quality if compare with safety, i choose safety..

some picha from savoc.net.. car bang a cow (the cow die laa..)
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

this car i said maybe 50kmh hit a static object.. if viva or kancil?  sweat.gif
*
Yeah brand is the thing...
Viva is not worth cause if u compare viva 1.0 with myvi 1.3... it's just a few thousand... Why not take the bigger engine and bigger car...

QUOTE(mosh @ Jun 9 2009, 02:32 PM)
can't hit 170km with my standard skinny steel rim savvy lite!  the car shaking terribly when reaching 130... eeeeuurghhh!    vmad.gif
*
shaking at 130? mine savvy Lite also, stock tyres, tried cruising at 150km/h midnight from cyberjaya to puchong... ok oni... very stable... just wind and engine sound...

nope...not comparing with viva, its compare between savvy lite and savvy m-line.
coz i saw there is no such gas shock absorber, subframe, L-arm on the
spec sheet of savvy lite hmm.gif

yalo...will look tenggelam sweat.gif
*
Actually everything is the same for savvy lite and m line.. just power window, rear wiper, less 2 speakers, exhaust tip, alarm, rims, etc etc... all the exterior or appearance things... no difference in engine, transmission, suspension and so on...
