Since Savvy Lite doesn't comes with most of the important stuff... at least to me they are... would we void the 5yr warranty if we install things like alarm, power windows etc?
Yes, yes... i know, some of u may say if those things are important y not get urself the full spec Savvy. Well, some have low budget and there are others who like to install the preferred brands/items lor....
install those things should be void wiring warranty only... IMO, it's ok for savvy lite since it dun hv power window, wiring warranty is not reli important...

first engage 2nd gear n press the clutch pedal.. then someone else push a bit like 5m then depress the clutch pedal n engine will start..

Guys, if u hear any sound or steering shaking pls come down and check ur car, my uncle's car from penang came over to my place during weekend, and someone planned to steal his rims, they loosen every nut for the wheels, and just left the wheels there, maybe guard or police pass by... then when my uncle drive back home, the whole car vibrate and lose control, luckily they manage to stop aside, and saw the wheels almost came off... imagine at highway speed, and the wheels came off... please check your car, especially u park outside

yeah i agree bout short gear ratio, i used to reach 5th gear when i'm doing 40km/h, and most of the time i use 5th gear, cuz 4th gear is too 'sensitive' to the pedal...
I still prefer renault D4f, if u let me choose between renault and campro... I don't think so I'll sacrifice performance for cheaper maintenance... and a proton made engine! Heard campro got some crankshaft problem... it kinda break, if u use it for performance driving, like high rpm all the way...
13' sounds good with 185/60/13... and we have plenty of choices in tyres... 14' 165/60/14 only have hankook k406, and nct5... 15' got dunlop, nct 5, and silverstone evo 8 which has nice tread and sticky! ... in this case, 14' tyres have less choice compared to the othr 2...

non sloppy ground does not necessarily confirm can start as i had experienced it already. there were few of let say 2 hard starts out of 10. but on sloppy ground, confirm i experienced hard starting everytime.... guys, do u face problem where when your car's engine running but is idle (maybe bcoz of red light stop or jam) your rpm is hovering over 1.5k rpm. i know it's not normal...
Sometimes... but when the car just started not long, like in a car park... should be the drive by wire 'sot' edy... does it happen to u often?
yes. nowadays it happens everyday and everytime i run the car. it will hovering 1.5k rpm but sometime later on it will come back to normal (around 0.9-1krpm). it's just that, everyday sure got like dat. i haven't had the time to check with proton sc though. so the problem is with ecu is it? hmmm need to reset ecu at proton la like dis. huhuuu...
Wow.. reset ecu? means u have to train your ecu once over again? maybe ask them to check the wiring part for the pedal... tht's y i hate drive by wire... sluggish + problematic... mechanical linkage is always the best!
for tdc = hard to start even after 5-10 time crank.. dirty sensor or connector.. just mod the connector.. cut of the old one n straight away use clips n solder it (DIY techky - send to RSauto in puchong rm30)..
for coil = stutter n not smooth ride.. can diy if just plug cable @ replace with iswara(plug cable head only - normally one cable prob).. savoc.net got how to do it..
for trottlebody = 2nd gear n 3rd gear jerk at low rpm.. just clean up the dirt with kerosene @ silicone grease spray also can.. open airbox, unscrew 4 screw then carefully clean up the carbon n oil sump inside the trottlebody..
thats some of problem for mt n amt..
amt = sudden change/gear stuck / indicator lite up.. protection system that stop @ jammed the system when the system overheat.. some said wiring, some said the accumulator diaphragm fail so the system got dirt n jammed.. talk to proton mechanic.. said that every 40000km must check the amt pump n robotic.. just that they lazy(this is why it doesnt appear in the manual book) to open n check it.. haha..
Tht's a really good info... today evening i had my 1st time in my life '2nd gear low rpm jerking'... kinda feel excited pulak~ means my tb is dirty.. can i clean it by revving? dirty tb won't lead to anything else rite? But i saw ppl saying tht 2nd gear jerking is because of tdc sensor also?

die at traffic light is for amt only rite? when they don't put to neutral and pull the handbrake, instead they hold the foot brake which is heating up the robotic thingy... MT doesn't stall at traffic light right?

Savvy is not really fuel cost saver... it helps, but ur right foot is the best fuel cost saver... haha, like mine, i don't think so my savvy is fuel saver... kinda get the same mileage as my dad's camry 2.0

if ur car suddenly die at traffic means ur sensor very dirty one. if u failed to spot smthing wrong with ur car, u should b failed to be savvy owners. hehe. all those dirty sensor come with symptom or warning.
its not like ur car suddenly die at traffic. there's pre warning symptom that u need to identify. once u know, check the sensor. for sure no probs when driving.
for my case, sometime i can't start my engine after 5mins i shut down the engine. thats means ur tdc sensor starting to get dirty. better clean it up.
if hard to start in morning; or cold start. better check ur ignition coil. well. hehe. im not sure. im using the new tdc sensor. change under warranty. so far still good.
oh.. so u start the car after 5 mins u turned off the car.. to check the tdc sensor? Mt also will stall if tdc dirty?

ya that's true. the reason i couldn't start my car the past few days and suddenly engine died is because of spoilt tdc sensor. so yesterday i brought my car to proton to fix. cost me rm320 for the new sensor. aiyooo. in the last 2 years, i had changed one already but that time it's under warranty. this is the 2nd time already
wow... so expensive... new type 1? cleaning it should be enuff... it's just dirty, if i'm not mistaken anyway, mine is going to service next friday... gonna complain about jerking problem, and hope they chg the tdc for me... do we hv to tell them to chg it? i'm going to proton CoE btw...

haihyo read savvy forum everywhere until today still dont have any solution for smooth gear shifting in AMT. Always got loss in power during gear changing and when go up slope sometimes one big jerk for you which scares all your car passengers lol

got got... i heard use good renault gear oil... and change it often, even the book didn't say so... just thru my observations in various forums, i'm mt driver, so didn't reli hv actual experience...

That's why i skipped the AMT version an go for the Manual, eventhough i like the AMT very much. I know the cost and headaches of solving AMT problem will be a nightmare. So far, quite happy with my Savvy. But now i think the suspension is a bit used, last time when go over bumpy road quite steady, but now seems a bit louder/bumpier, but still better than my Myvi. Maybe ask technician to check on coming service.
What do you guys think? How to make the suspension not so bumpy? What do you call this? Hard or soft suspension?
try to check the absorber? soften for comfort, harden for 'comfort' going thru cornering~

Check 2nd gear jerk when engaged -readjusted clutch cable (weird... nth abt tdc?) (but no more sound when i press the clutch... i think they wd40 it~.~)
and i saw a satria neo 'desire' full of momo stuffs... including cabon fibre exhaust tip... with white seats and full white interior... really nice~~

when you guys turning your savvy, not normal cornering, it is like turn the steering wheel till the end, for example making 180 degrees turn, or making 360 degrees circle, etc.
Will you hear some small and minor "tuk tuk tuk" sound coming from the front wheels? is it normal?
bearing or driveshaft? my mum always advise me not to turn the steering to the max... be gentle not to fight with the steering, don't always full turn with the brakes on...

tyre rotation should be done at every 10,000km... and it's normal for fwd that the front tyres used up more than the rear.. the front tyres have to drive, steer, and brake...
And I realize our rear tyres have negative camber setting~
