hmmm..in terms of wat ip is a better place compare wit other...cz i wan some useful reason to convince me stay in ip..but the transport is a big problem..can i noe the bus schedule frm ip to campus or frm campus to ip...tx...

ya... in certain uni, it's no much different if you get band 4 and above. from what i know, for some uni, you'll take less english classes if you get good band... or the class is different for each band. so we're lucky that in UMS, band 4 and above can take foreign language instead of english.

no, you don't have to retake if you get band 3. only those who got band 2 and band 1 need to retake MUET. if you get band 3, you're qualified to grad. but i heard from my dean that there're lots of students can't grad because they couldn't get band 3 and above in their MUET after retake for many times.

1) More freedom if compared to Kg.
2) More variety of food outside.
3) Much more relaxed environment.
4) No water disruption if compared to Kg. (well at least for my stay in IP at that time)
5) The bus schedule you can refer to the notice board on the IP/UMS bus stops and also at the IP HEP there.

The first 3 is correct. There's more variety of food because there's a lot of shoplots outside. There's also a Giant supermarket near the shoplot so we can get our necessities there. It's very convenient for me. It's peaceful there too compared to KG.

You can also use free WIFI at the KFC instead of subscribing the IP wireless. Of course, it'll be better to use the campus's WIFI.

There's water disruption now (for my house). Sometimes there's no water available and it's hard to wash clothes. This is why they provided us the big pail - To fill up the water so we can bath and wash stuff when there's water disruption. During my stay in KG, there's no water disruption.

The buses don't follow the bus schedule. Here's my advice:- Normally after the first bus come, the 2nd and 3rd bus will come after around 5-10 minutes. I've noticed the girls standing in the middle of the road so they can get on the bus. Please don't ever stand in the middle of the road to wait for the bus.

But actually the whole Sabah is facing this water disruption problem due to the water pressure is too low..

That's why mostly every houses have their own water tank and water pump..

Actually it's very subjective for opinions living at IP. Each house is maintained differently - some houses are in good condition while others are in very bad condition.

If you're lucky, then you get those with good condition and life will be a lot better..I can only say the room downstairs is the worst. The room upstairs are wood floor while the room downstairs is a modified room from a kitchen.

Yes it is true as previously a house is only for 7 people where 2 people each in the double room upstairs and 1 in the single room, while 2 people will be sleeping in the living room..

Now they want to cram more people in, so the kitchen has been modified to became another room...

I wanted to join Badminton co-cu it is at Kompleks Sukan Likas.. Is there any transport provided to go there?

there is no line at IP. u have to apply on your own la.... da phone cables there are for no use i guess. apply a new phone line plus streamyx. Dats da way to get streamyx in ur house.

Is there any other options beside applying for Streamyx line so I can use internet at my room?

Its kinda far away from the uni. If you are using bus route, you have to take bus to kk, then take the "luyang" bus. Ask the bus instructor to stop at damai station.

Hmm can go to Kingfisher Park mamak once in a while, or to the McDonald's near KF, or you can also hang out at cafetaria..

Damai is quite far actually from UMS, about 30 minutes ride by motorcycle..Need to limpas through Likas, pass through SMC, after about 5 minutes and you are there..
