A-GPS will gave U most of the satelite position on top almost straight away after U open GPS software (in my case, GMobileXT). But u still need to wait for sufficient signal bar to enable to lock. Under open air, no roof, no tall building and clear sky, U will get position lock in less than 3-4mins

If U dun enable A-GPS, U might need to wait like 10+ mins or even longer...

Yes. It support 8gb MicroSD SDHC card. I am using sandisk brand. I would said file browsing, gps map browsing, file transfer speed will be improve.

I try that method too...felt more snappy when navigate around the phone...dunno is snake oil feeling or it did imporve...

if U choose black berry, U will dun have much choice in term of 3rd party software as compare to E71.

And BB look damn fugly...(No offend)

Latest locked malsingmaps are much detail and updated compare to FREE version. I tried both version and manage to find few new road that not appear on free version.

U need to make contribution (submit POI, Track trail) to malsing forum to get latest maps.

sell sell...I poisoned my colleague to sell his iphone for E71. He is now a much happy man...

3G, A-GPS, BT connection to many things, software flexibility, ton of 3td party softwares, full qwerty software, slimmer, smaller form factor, A2DP

I got myself a waist pouch from BKK. The pouch are design for E71. I would said BKK is the best place to get handphone pouch...
Notice the braided area inside...they make it ala E71 back cover..Really nice.
Anyone interested? I going to BKK end of next month...Maybe can organize a small bulk..

For bluetooth, I suggest U buy those which can plug in other good quality 3.5mm headphone. I tested APE song a2dp to i-tech R35 + Crossroad Mylar XB = total wootness. Jaw dropping sound quality
Since R35 no longer in the market, I suggest get either S605 Stereo Bluetooth headset or iTech Clip Radio or other.

ya.E71 bundle with older version of quick office. Yr friend cannot open maybe because it was create from latest MS Office 2007 which older version didnt support.

Got lucky that I brought the latest quick office v5.0 @ USD1... I think some forumer also manage to get that deal..

for contact transfer, I will normally use MS Outlook as median. Mean I sycn my phone with MS Outlook to the latest...

ya..using 3g on E71 will get yr unit hot..and it drain the batt fast. I would said is not a long term solution. U should get an 3G modem (it cheap now around RM350 for E220)

Ya...A-GPS is good to shorten the sat locking time by many fold.

E71 have higher processor power than yr previous phone and together with the enhancement and improvement implemented in new OS (some said is 1 step higher than SymbianS60v3 FP1). It make the UI more sleek and snappy.

No need 8 hrs.. Just plug out after U saw "Battery full"
The more proper way is use up the existing bat when U first get the phone, THEN only charge to full. Repeat around 2 cycles then yr bat will be more tahan
