Who are so free to go time these 2 funtions?? To drain the E71 U need at least 2-3days...and different day to day usage...yield different result. How to measure? maybe U got a great idea...ya??
For me I still prefer cClock since I can know time at 1 glance...while breathing light is for show...nothing useful to me. Furthermore, cClock have a lot of setting that can save batt..like adjust to longer moving speed, no backlight, power saving mode, turning off couple of setting and etc etc.

For wifi, it is actually much straight forward in symbian compare to Winmo. Just do a "WLAN scanning" at home page. Choose your AP and key in password (if got). Then a Access Point(AP) will be store in the phone. Each time if U want to surf net or download something that require internet connection, just choose back the AP.
If U are outside, when U found an AP which didnt locked. U might not use it coz it may have Mac Address filter on. U may need to pay

For 3G, U need to set it manually or U can call your mobile telephone company to sent U a 3G configuration sms..Follow simple instruction and U are good to go.
For Maxis, call 123...I not sure about other telco.

I confirmed that Garmin Mobile XT can be use for E71. In fact, I manage to install Garmin mobile XT to 2 nos. E71.

I suspect either (a)U didnt do it correctly or (b)U didnt activate E71's GPS.

For (a),
go to Setting --> About --> if U did it correctly, U will see something like Unlock ID: XXXXXXX. If not, U may need to 'hem' again..

For (b),
To choose which type of GPS positioning method:
Go to Setting --> General ---> Positioning ---> Positioning Methid ---> Choose All except Bluetooth GPS

Wat I can said about Maxis 3G is...SUX...Poor coverage, line not stable...and hell lot of problem.

I using Celcom Rm68 package. But the let down is the sim card is only for data line. U cannot make phone call and sms. There for U will have 2 sim cards. I not sure if can combine to have both voice and data line together in 1 sim..
But using 2 sim card is a bit troublesome...at least for me.

Coreplayer can play alot of media file type inclusing DIVX, XVID.

Ya...Some AP set had longer warranty period so why choose zitron? But some AP set tend to came from many unknown source.
Like I want my E71 to have Chinese symbol on keypad, able to read Chinese "natively". I actually looking for an AP set initially but end up buying a Original set.
Twice I transfer the money and refund later coz the AP set didnt support Chinese, need to re-flash firmware for that.

U need to install mfE (mail for exchange) software and create a user profile. Ask yr company IT guy for those setting.

Maybe he mean the latest Quickoffice Premier 5.0.
Default for E71 is version 4.5 rite? Correct me if I am wrong.

ya..Garmin MXT still the best compare to Nokia map because of user friendly and detail/updated map from malsing.org

Garmin MXT will choose wat ever type of GPS connect U set:
U can set them in (Your E71): Tool --> Setting --> General ---> Positioning. Un-check Assist GPS if U dun want it

ok..Most problem can be solve by google. There are ton of information, U just need to spend time to dig them out.

If U can look at the actual units and able to take out the battery , check the product sticker with something like below:

"Type:RM-346
Model:E71-1

Imei: XXXXXX
Code: 0560645 (<---very important)"
The unit are as good as ori set...

Recently, I have "background app closed" happen. I suspect is the themes I using rite now..
I also having few occasion on after key in *#06# to get imei..it didnt shown..strange. A restart will make the problem away.

For quickoffice v5.0, can edit MSOffice2007. Some of us got it at USD1....

But E71 default come with v4.5, can edit also..but Not on MS Office 2007 file format according to this comparison:

try this
1) 3G Activated? U need to call 123 and ask operator to do it
2) Correct 3G profile setting selected? Call 123 again and ask them to send U a 3G setting sms specifically for E71. Follow the instructions once U got the sms.
