Regarding the WorldMate comes preinstalled with the E71, does it always trigger for a connection automatically or can you select which network to connect when you want to use it?
I'm not on dataplan therefore having it automatically connected would be a problem.

Grr ... what should I tell the retailer regarding short batt life? Will they entertain complain like this?! T-T ' ' '

superman, open worldmate, go under options -> settings and under confirm connection, choose yes and auto update choose never. i think it should help.

just tell them your problem with the battery..mine last for 4 days before i charge it last night..

Well, my usage to last me for 4-5 days average 5 hours of calltime, about 50 messages, total of about 2 hours of wifi browsing, about 1 hour of EDGE browsing, about 1 hour of music player, alarm clock, and the rest of the time are on standby mode (without breathing light on). Just a rough estimate though for your reference.

anyway... just for ur info.... the people working in nokia service center in 1utama (near TGV) are super rude.
Wanted them to help me do something with my phone but then, they didn't layan me n answered me rudely. Mayb cos i weren't there to buy a phone but then again, there was only one other customer besides me. i don't understand why they have to be so rude when ppl r seeking for phone service. Moreover, mine is a zitron set.

You should lodge a complain. Let Nokia know. Especially useful if you remember the person's name.

I guess he/she must've woken up on the wrong side of the bed today.

Yes, you can complaint about that as long as it is authorized NSC.
Just use the complaint form from official Malaysia Nokia site.
I did that before and they have prompt reply.

Did Nokia send you a freebie as a token? I remember my sister getting a voucher when she complained about one of her Kit Kats didn't have any wafer in it

ermm..i've lost count on calls amount..i think it should be around 1 hour incoming calls and maybe less then 1 hour of outgoing calls...sms?maybe around 50-70..plus i played around with the garmin..navigate my self to some place..but as said by one forumer, the 1 bar will finish fast..my first bar gone in less then 24 hours..

No wor, but one thing for sure that NSC treated me nicer after I complaint about their service, and they have assigned a dedicated customer service to solve my case

bro.. seriously your battery is out of the world.. I can't even have that long with half the things that you have done..
I only managed 3 days and having to charge on the 4th morning itself..

Well, i dunno if I've got a super battery or the Singapore version phone i got was ultimate. But honestly, I think most of you charge the phone overnight right? And even when its full, yours are still plucked in until u actually remember to pull it out right?

Well, for me, warning tones is on and once its fully charged it will beep for completion and I immediately plucked it out. Worse still is to leave your charger plugged in on the wall source. Everytime mine is done, I switch it off and took it out and keep in my drawer. Maybe u don believe, but my old phone's charger left in the open spoils really fast (dunno if its the dust). Maybe some consider I'm doing too much here but I love my E71 and all I'm doing so far is beneficial rather than damaging to it.

thats the correct way mate.. u really love ur phone.. hehe.. btw, urs white or silver? I am planning to get 1.. i like white but when i get in hand.. it looks weird to me. hehe

if u actually take white, its more special and different from the usual crowd of E71, i myself uses the grey steel. White is perfectly fine except for the danger of it getting dirty. But if you really check as I have from friends around europe and aussie, the price for a white steel is slightly higher. Maybe because it looks more "pure" and it totally produces a different feeling when u look at it. Black on the other hand produces a usual smartphone feel.

Well, like jameslee_84 said, White is more rare, and I like it that way. So I'm glad I got the White Steel unit instead of the Grey Steel, whom I see every E71 user is using. Seriously, I have not come across a White Steel user before.

But cons of a white phone, the rubber parts get black easily, and if you're willing to spend some money, you can change if for a small fee at Nokia Care Centre, which is what I did. And the pouch is white too, that gets easily tainted especially if you put it in your jeans. My solution, I've already got my PDAir pouch for E71, and I let the ori pouch sit inside the box. Am very satisfied with the PDAir pouch. You can get from jameslee_84, he's having a bulk buy for PDAir products.

yup, my battery is onli can last 1 days...max is 1 n half days....a lot of call in n out, average 30 smses per day....more on daily work...having ap set here..thx
