i'm not one of the E71 user but i wish i could have it one day..just one question, what influence you guys to get E71? is it because of trend or is it fit to your purpose? i just came back from jakarta couple of weeks ago and i can say that they are blackberry mania!..almost everyone has one blackberry bold..i assume that its just a trend having blackberry in jakarta without fully utilizing the functions except the blackberry IM..

sometime is not the functions E71 can offer.
Other might get it for it slim, long battery life, build, form factor and etc.

For me, I am ex-user of E series (E61i).. E71 is a huge upgrade compare to previous in term of faster speed, better keypad, longer batery life, a2dp..
Out of this 2 important feature is qwerty kb and symbian OS... once u got the qwerty kb on phone..u wont choose other non-qwerty phone..biggrin.gif
*
yup that qwerty keyboard is one of the main feature of E71..i wonder how does it feel using qwerty keyboard on phone..gotta get this phone one day hopefully..

i assume that u cant even find those ringtones even if u try to set it using profile for ur general ringtone right?

try this :

in ur memory card, for all MP3 that u want to make them as a ringtone , place them in the folder Sound Clips/Digital Tone. which is inside that digital tone folder.  icon_rolleyes.gif

thanks man..will try it later..

guys, which version of opera mini did you install? in the opera mini side, the part where they ask to choose the phone model, i choose e61i since there's no e71..so, should i just go ahead and install it? do i install the .jad or .jar?

Yeah, I read that it is a software bug but I have not encounter that problem yet. I only have the memory card missing problem after connecting to PC as mass storage. You have that problem?
my problem is, the pc suite doesnt detect my memory card anymore..no idea why but it detect my memory card if i select the mass storage option..i did encounter the 'wont load the menu' issue..i just turn off and on the phone and its back to normal..

we should really have a thread like the E66.

they have all the essential things on their first page. makes it really easy for E71 owners.

somebody should start a thread like that??? wat say the moderators?  whistling.gif

yup agree..if TS could put the links like latest firmware or whatever software related to E71 will be appreciated..its time consuming for some of us to check all the pages in this thread to check whether any of us gives any link related to E71..just my 2 cents..no hard feeling TS..

garmin saves my life today..had an interview at taman midah cheras and i'm not really familiar with cheras..surprisingly garmin satellite locks my position in less then 5 minutes in cheras where else it took more then 10 minutes for the satellite to lock my position in my housing area (jalan kelang lama)..i have to say that the map was pretty accurate..

can i ask how much u spent on the garmin? or does it come with the phone?

when using gps, is there any transmission charge?

thanks dude!! tongue.gif

when i bought this phone at low yat, it comes with a 4gb memory card and garmin for RM1700 zitron set..basically, they will install the garmin for you F.O.C..it use satellite not gps..so no need to worry bout any charges..
