Details Revealed for Band of Brothers Blu-ray

HBO New information has surfaced regarding upcoming Blu-ray release of the HBO epic WWII mini-series 'Band of Brothers', coming this Fall from Warner Home Video. While this information should not be considered final, it does give an inside look at what to expect from this highly anticipated Blu-ray release.

Expect the release to come in a tin packaging, similar to the existing DVD release. Episodes will be digitally restored for this release and the soundtrack is expected to be encoded in DTS (though, the flavor has not been revealed).

All bonus material from the DVD release should make it to the Blu-ray, but there will also be some exclusive Blu-ray content, such as BonusView interviews with surviving members of Easy Company.

We expect to learn more about this release soon.

So far never tried PIP also, just play the movie, watch the special features, then that's it.

Nothing special lah tai kor, it contains all the special features just like the hd-dvd version, the current version only had some features from the hd-vd version. If they give the Spartan helmet as a gift then different story lah.

This one is a must buy title. It might be an old movie but the sound rocks on hd-dvd and should be better on blu-ray since it is using DTS-MA 6.1 and it will contain some special features (do take note that the hd-dvd version is featureless ) Picture quality is a step up from the standard dvd. I'll definitely buy the blu-ray version as long as Dato' M allows me to tumpang order with him.

The one that was released is the "cut" version ah? I can't imagine what kind of violence will be included in the "uncut" version

I'll straight away buy Top Gun if the music video for the anthem is included, the one that came with the special edition DVD

anyone watches 27 dresses in BD?

last night watch it in SD, the surround sound are so good....my wife keep asking me if there's something going on outside the house like people chatting, rain etc...and that's in normal dts only....should be more involving with BD....

same la..i also watch-ed in SD with SLL

So sad. Still no sign of Sis Nira.
