In conjunction with this new thread, lets make a "new thread's resolution". Kinda like those new year's resolution that that we make anually. For this thread, lets make an effort to reduce the spamming and stick to BD related discussions only. Going off topic once in a while is ok but the "elite" and "knn" discussions definitely needs to go

Gotta read carefully when buying from ebay. I though I got a good deal for a new BD but ended up with a used item instead. Checking back the auction page, the word "new" or "sealed" is nowhere in sight

According to Amazon UK, the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy boxset will be released on the 30th of this month. Dunno weather it's region free or not. The boxset is listed at 43.49 pounds but after I click the checkout, the price is shown as 37.01 pounds only
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pirates-Caribbean-...14254309&sr=1-9 **EDIT** Oh, just remembered about the VAT, hence the price difference According to the website below, the individual version of of the POTC movies are region free. Guess I'll go ahead with the "place your order" button http://bluray.liesinc.net/index.php?region=b This post has been edited by arj: Jun 24 2008, 05:13 AM |

QUOTE(megatron007 @ Jun 25 2008, 11:13 PM) The one that was released is the "cut" version ah? I can't imagine what kind of violence will be included in the "uncut" version QUOTE(sunauto @ Jun 26 2008, 01:23 AM) So far never tried PIP also, just play the movie, watch the special features, then that's it. I'll straight away buy Top Gun if the music video for the anthem is included, the one that came with the special edition DVD Nothing special lah tai kor, it contains all the special features just like the hd-dvd version, the current version only had some features from the hd-vd version. If they give the Spartan helmet as a gift then different story lah. This one is a must buy title. It might be an old movie but the sound rocks on hd-dvd and should be better on blu-ray since it is using DTS-MA 6.1 and it will contain some special features (do take note that the hd-dvd version is featureless |

Quite a number of titles are a few bucks more expensive right compared to earlier today. Could this be a sign that a promo is coming?

QUOTE(aiman04 @ Jun 29 2008, 12:59 PM) Still haven't tested my Jumper and MIB. And got dozens of BD haven't watched fully yet. You might wanna keep Jumper. Fun movie IMO. The sound effect when they "jump" is a very good scene to test your upcoming subwoofer Is Jumper that bad as a movie? If it is, might sell it unopened. |

QUOTE(hezda @ Jun 29 2008, 11:31 PM) Just the box. Content is identical to the previous single release. Also if you get the boxset, the shipping charge is for one item only but if you get it individually, the shipping charge will be for three items QUOTE(megatron007 @ Jun 30 2008, 07:00 AM) I haven't seen it yet but friends who have seen it said it's a good movie. I'm gonna get the BD when it's out BTW dude, today last day This post has been edited by arj: Jun 30 2008, 07:11 AM |

I've just finished hooking up my new amp. I'm listening to HD audio for the first time and I'm totally floored by it
Definitely gotta watch again all my HD DVDs and BDs, which is not much at the moment I might add, because I've sold most of them to purchase this amp ![]() |

My newly arrived loot from amazon and ebay. Some of you might notice that I re-bought titles I've recently sold

QUOTE(callmevil @ Jul 8 2008, 02:20 AM) the potc discs from amazon uk all region free? my friend in UK just told me that he took a look at it at a movie store there and said in the trilogy, only disc 1&2 is region free, the disc 3 is region B.. so.. need to confirm if amazon uk is selling all region free discs in their bundle According to the link below, the 3rd movie can be played on Region A & B players. Will give it a try later today after work.http://bluray.liesinc.net/index.php?region=b QUOTE(sunauto @ Jul 8 2008, 02:45 AM) Yup, no tax |

QUOTE(hackwire @ Jul 8 2008, 09:46 AM) How is the Universe? Most of the amazon uk prices are more expensive compared to amazon us but once in a while you'll find something at a decent price. The POTC boxset for example, is RM260+ which includes shipping. You can also get good deals through the current buy 2 free 1 promo.AMazon UK price is so expensive and you guys don't even felt a pinch. Ouch!! I just make a comparison and it was much higher than US. |
