I know about movies screen ratio and leterboxing and whatnot on BDs lar... I just didn't understand about the stretching thing on DVD. So it's just the same as the anamorphic film stock used on Panavision lenses, while non-anamorphic is like Super35. Never thought pixels can also be stretched like film lenses. All right, thanks.

I've said this before, I'm saying again. Cloverfield is the one that makes me think to upgrade my subwoofer. Just the thumps at the opening logo already made me decide to get the Velodyne.

If using priority, saves some on shipping if bulk, but it's so expensive you should just buy them at Speedy.

But bro, I bought my Sweeney Todd and Beowulf at around RM130 each. The only reason I bought them is because they can't be found elsewhere at that time, and though still expensive, it's still cheaper than Speedy.

My own rule to buy from Amazon UK, the title must not available elsewhere, or still cheaper than elsewhere.

Offer time of course can get cheaper la.

Added on July 3, 2008, 11:02 amThere was a problem with 2.40, but not everyone affected. Mine updated successfully. I can see they will re-release the fixed and tested update soon.

I'm more excited about the new feature, that PS3 can now upscale standard definition content on BD now. Before, all standard definition content (most special features) was not upscaled, thus turning off my TV's Just Scan screen size (I have to switch is back manually).

Mine is 80Gb version. No problem too. But the problem does not occur during or direclty after update. We're still not safe actually.

My advice is everyone who already updated their PS3, just don't use it too much right now, or to be safe, don't use it until a new update is provided.

No need to downgrade, I'm sure Sony will release version 2.41 very soon. It could be a dummy update file as 2.41 but with 2.36 data. Or a new fixed 2.40 as 2.41.

Just be patience.

If use priority can arrive by 11th. And usually for pre-orders Amazon ships one day earlier, so it's possible to get it by 10th. This is from my own experience.

Never use priority lah if for only one BD.
