Hello there

I am SPM leaver (Science Stream) and will opt for STPM (Arts Stream) next month. I want to do Law Degree at UM. But i don't know what subject i should take in STPM. I know we must get the higher band in MUET, and also we must take History. But the other two subjects ? I think it is easier for me to take BM and Pengajian Perniagaan, but some teacher said i must take Ekonomi. For me Ekonomi is less related to Law than Pengajian Perniagaan because Ekonomi is about the calculation, money and all that rite ? And Ekonomi is tougher than Pengajian Perniagaan and would effect my pointer if i don't do well. I hope someone would enlighten me

I'll try and post the full list when I have the time.

There are 14 recognised universities in Australia, 5 in New Zealand and 65 in the United Kingdom.

There are also 2 additional notification under Section 3. They are:-

Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Judicature of England
Barrister-at-Law of the Honourable Society of King's Inn

Different rules apply to those with qualifications or admissions prior to certain dates. But I doubt that it would apply to any prospective law students.

Cheers!

Has anyone done both A Level Law and the UOL programme here? Are they similar or there's a huge difference between the two in terms of exam style?

In term of exams style, i wouldnt say huge difference in term of how the questions being asked. Rather, when it comes to marking, its gonna be a big difference because you're required to show more logical and critical arguments.

How hard is it for someone with mediocre A-Level grades (not 3A's type) to get at least a 2:2 in a law degree?

With passion and hard work, even mediocre A lvl grades can turn into a 1st Class. Without passion and hard work, even excellent A lvl grades can turn into a 3rd class.

I failed my A-levels so I don't think that you can't obtain at least a 2:2 with mediocre A-level grades

The only way is to apply for exemption from the Ministry of Law. But they have a record of not granting it to UOL external LLB holders.
Neither is your friend in better position since Hertfordshire is not on the list of recognised universities and it is not a terribly good university.
But it is worth a shot if you have outstanding results and some experience in practice. Otherwise chances are very slim.
