no wonder.. cz even with very good coolers, will hardly reach 34 on idle without air cond.. cz we need a minimum temperature difference in order to have a heat transfer (study too much heat exchanging.. tongue.gif)

with the ambient temperature at malaysia, hardly reach 34 unless u stay at genting or cameron lo.. tat's y i suspect u use ac..

anyway, good OC u hav there.. wink.gif

Are you using 1 [ special Air cooling just cool your CPU ? ] ? Does it work ? Cooling down the temperature.

Nope. Just a normal cheap heatsink. CoolerMaster TX2.

depends on what brand la, cap ayam brand will not get you anywhere, (rather just keep using stock cooler) where as a good one really cools down your cpu overclocked smile.gif

if you are planning to overclock, aftermarket cooler is the best bet, you dont want your cpu to fry of rite? wink.gif

haha, yeap, in Malaysia, ambient temp is 39-40 degrees, impossible for the cpu to be 34 degrees in idle mode lo hehe

im still trying to push to 3.5 ghz with stock voltage, but still no avail..now trying to adjust lower multiplier with higher bus speed smile.gif

will keep you guys updated wink.gif

Hey guys, I'm a E7400 user

just bought a 2nd hand xigmatek RC with mounting kit, still waiting for tx-2 thermal grease then will start my 1st ever OC project !

Got a nub questions, I just using normal 2x 1GB kingston 800mhz ram on Gigabtye G41m-ES2L mobo.

Issit better to OC it to 333x 10.5 or 400x 9 ? And do I need high performance RAM for OC-ing?

Currenty in cpu-z it shows I'm using 1.2v and running on 266mhzx10.5.

I should add which speed is more stable for 24/7 oc haha.

thats why got 2 different speed .

333 would be a 4:5 mem divider, heard that its slower and unstable..
but i nub and not sure la.

clock speed total was like 8.5x425 but i run at 9x400 most of the time.

Added on July 30, 2009, 5:16 amoh btw i +0.25 on vcore straight. run fanless. works fine. running F@H with GTX295 (damn hot) and the fella still idles at 6x400 with around 44c.
