Funny how one or two comments can make some people believe our entire clan is suddenly dirt. People like redeye84 take themselves too seriously. This is our personal clan thread. If we want to vent and let off a little steam that's our business. We all took the competition like men and we were good sports through and through.

When pT* beat us (team B) we congratulated them and wished them good luck. We cheered them on in their next match.

Team A worked hard and played well, just as kHz did. There's no reason to criticize either team because they both played superbly and in the end the better team won. No one has disputed that.

We're all friends in the TF2 community, so don't try to make enemies over a few expected frustrations during a heated tournament.

The final few matches were very good. Congrats to LYN++ (a) for second place. My match with LYN++ (b) was good as well. You guys played very well. We at pT actually were impressed with both LYN++ teams because they played very well.

i just wished I could have the demo of khz rusty.errors playing the final. Thats a demo we can learn a lot from.

I would like to say sorry if we offended anyone with our screaming, MEDIC DOWN !!! MEDIC DOWN.

btw, If you guys ever need a sub or a scrim, contact me. I am eager to play more.

Whoa. I got loads to say and I dunno where to start.

Redeye : I think you contradict yourself abit there mate.
QUOTE
LYN++ team A stubborn resistance were nothing more than lucked out from enemy carelessness.

And then saying
QUOTE
2nd round was pretty much you all turtling while they get mow down from 1 unsucessful attack after another. So during OT just change strat which is more defensive which prove a game turner..

These two sentences may not seem linked at first, but when you look at it, yes, luck does play a role, but I doubt it will bring a team that far. Notwithstanding that, even if we do hold your argument true on luck, I don't think any team can get lucky on all the matches innit ? That just doesn't seem right, even by just saying it. Henceforth, you are saying that lyn won based on the other team's carelessness, which bring me to the second quote which says that being defensive proves to be a better gamer. We did defend well on several occasions, and that may have lead to what you deem as other teams carelessness enabling our counter attacks.

True to the fact that many of the members here play pub TF2 often, maybe more often then other clans. I think it was a good start for our young lyn side, wouldn't you all agree. In fact, I can safely say that no one in Lyn had experience in any tournaments. And we all know that the playing level and tension level in a tourney cannot be compared to playing at home.

QUOTE
While kHz was like a thorn in everyone back. Most of them are retired gamers and only pick up the game and train like only 1-2 weeks..

I doubt we took them as a thorn in the back as you put it. Even before the tourney I spoke about khz and mentioned they were a force to be reckoned with. Oddly enough, I think that retired games are were the experience is at. Thats where to coolness and where the rational mind comes in play during the heat of a tourney.

I've personally been gaming for 22 years, which is even older then some of our lyn clan mates. Again, props to the young lyn. And I had fun at the tourney, made me feel young again lol. Perhaps we may not be as pro and high and mighty as your self redeye, but I think every clan has to start somewhere innit ? Perhaps you would agree to train us on some sessions ?

I'm sure we would like to scrim with khz and pt again in the future to gain more experience. And once again gratz to khz. Made some friends with them and pt. All in all a good weekend.

On a side note, last nite me and maxpower played in the gamesync league match, and we were like screaming medic down and all which I think blurred the hell out of the rest of our team. Not to mention the fact that while in the match, my wife came over and tapped my shoulder and said, "Why so loud ! Your are screaming ! Do you know what time it is ??" blush.gif

Just one of those days.

ps: That pic of jas winning the CS tourney funny sia !

To Redeye:

When u say those things...u act as though u have joined up and personally fight us and know our weakness as though as it is at the palm of ur hand...

But in tourneys...things change...strategy changes and evolves to fit the competition...kHz is NOT...i repeat NOT an easy foe...if u think that mainly because we win because of luck...then yes...luck does play a part...EXPERIENCE also plays a part in the competition...

This is not my first tourney...I've took part in WCG b4 and I know the amount of training and skill it takes to beat top players and in kHz just proved they are top in the tourney.

Not many of LYN++ members that I know of took part in this kind of tourney b4 while kHz are RETIRED PLAYERS so they would know what it takes to win...what LYN++(A) has achieved is downright outstanding in any cases...and i repeat kHz is a team that cannot be underestimated...and if u think they are weak...here's a suggestion why don't u form a team of 6 and take on kHz and see if u can defeat them in less time than it took A team to beat them...then come over here and show of ur e-penis...

But most importantly of course is winning or losing is secondary to the primary objective of the game...I do not know what other members think about tourneys but I personally feel that u join a tourney because U LOVE THE GAME , not winning it.

I daresay that if the team does not like the game but got first place in a tourney...it would be meaningless...winning should be an added bonus instead of the primary objective...we came to have fun not win. Those with this mentality are going to find themselves hating the game more because they do not enjoy it...yet continue to play it...

BTW to LYN++ (A) and LYN++ (B)...do NOT get your spirits down just because of someone who doesn't play the game critizes ur performance...U have seriously outdone urself by finishing 2nd and 5th respectively...u deserve it so hold ur head high

Actually, I thought it was bloody funny. biggrin.gif

And to whoever that was "expressing their differences" in regards to our previous "complaints", I admit and apologize that I was one of them. Mostly because I had practically no idea of the double elimination system, and NOW that I understand better how this system works, I retract whatever I had said before and apologize. However, due to the fact that I have NO INTERNET here while I'm visiting from Singapore, I cannot possibly post out my views immediately after having thought about it that night.

Either way, CHILL.

The competition is over, kHz emerged champions (and they deserve it, they played well) and we all went home happy and exhausted. I'm sure the participants had fun, as we had fun watching them play. It was truly an intense competition, especially for our dear newcomers to the tournament scene. Besides, every tournament is good experience, right? I'm sure the guys learned something out of it. smile.gif

ps: Tomato, Noodles actually came down TWO DAYS IN A ROW to support your boys leh. He didn't leave until he really had to. Has to account for something, right? smile.gif

the medic down was started by khz.shinobi when playing against pT*. After our medic went down, he gave out a blood curdling yell, MEDIC DOWN 1!1 . PUSH !!1 PUSH !!! ..

So we started immitating him .. MEDIC DOWN , PUSH PUSH !!!

Hehehe, yeah I heard about that one. biggrin.gif

It's just so funny to watch lah.. Even during the trial runs where everyone was everywhere... EVERYONE was shouting "MEDIC DOWN MEDIC DOWN GO GO GO!!!!" at the top of their voices. Funny stuff.

But like I mentioned to Kennyville I think the shops around the event arena must've suffered a bit of bad business while we were there. tongue.gif

I think Medic Down should be incorporated in the game. Its good for those that do not have mics to report the situation.

Alot of pressure on the medics woOt ? Allen our medic kept reporting to us :

"I'm taking damage ! Heavy Damage !!" which followed by him being dead

or

"ehhhh scout behind meeeeeeeeee....*"

And everytime that happened I was looking around to defend him. Good times.
