Wah what kind of debate is going on here man? All I have to say about the Luck factor determining victory/loss is, it is severely reduced due to the fact that critical hits are turned off. If our soldiers kills the medic and heavy with a single critical rocket, then yes you can say that luck won us the game. Its not that luck does not play any part, I still think it does, but on which occasion, I do not know.
If you want to say that LYN++ [A] only won with luck and not skill/strategy, I beg to differ, because we trained hard the past 2 weeks before the tournament with LYN++ (B) and I have to say this, Team B improved a whole lot, and I'm sure they will continue to improve.
What Radkiller said is true, kHz is not a foe for us to defeat by pure luck. They are very good players. You said one of them was your brother right? Why don't you make your own team of 6 players, train for only 2 weeks like we did (we did not train every single day), and go against them. If you can prove me wrong by defeating them, you can brag all you want.
Yeah everyone seems to follow the trend of shouting "MEDIC DOWN! PUSH PUSH!". This shows the how important the medic is in the team, and you should just imagine how stressful it is because the fate of the entire team is practically in your hands. Personally I like being the team medic because I'm not really the offensive and killing type, and I prefer contributing and giving support. Assisting in taking down a sentry with an Ubercharge, healing an injured teammate, these are the things I enjoy the most.
Made some new and good friends from PT* and kHz, and again, I remember one guy from PT* said we participate in the tournament of course we wanted to win it, but more importantly, we did it because we want to promote the game, to popularise it, make the game more well known among people, and we will have more competitive teams for us to test our skills upon, and make even more new friends along the way.
Cheers~
