Nice.. Latest psp price is 650 which i bought beginning of this month. Just psp and charger + free gift pouch, hori screen protector and cleaning cloth. Bought it at summit usj.

and for new psp buyers, go get sandisk m2 8gb instead of pirated 4gb memory stick, speed wise m2 is even faster
a pirated 4gb memory stick cost you for RM100 while 8gb m2 only cost you for RM180, oh yah, the m2 does come with adapter |

yes..ori SONY 4GB MSPD already cost rm200+, and 8GB price will be sky high...
if a shop sells PSP at rm700+ and tells you tat the MSPD is ori and Brand new,i don think it's true... and the new stock of PSP slim will not be able to get mod.. |

Yea indeed, the next batch of PSPs(particularly I think the next batch is the just announced "madden blue" colored PSPs) has a new board on it. Will take some time to crack, but will done soon enough.
The PSP just have a too large of a security loophole, nothing that any seasoned hacker couldn't do. |

I brought my PSP from Game Tech, BJ Penang.
Total expenses was RM850..... Package includes: 1. PSP console in a box:come with the console, adapter, manual, battery. 2. 8G memory card 3. Crystal Case(good quality type) + screen protector. 4. Hard porch. 5. USB cable(with charging head). 6. Hand stripe. 7. 2 times full load of games. 8. 1 month warrantee, 1 year free service. Note:if with 4G memory card, it only cost RM750. I add RM45 for the component cable(2.5meter long). So my total expense for the day was RM895..... Found the taukea very helpful and friendly. Any comment to the price I paid? I guess it was reasonable..... |

you want cheapest for just the console itself and what comes in the box. go summit. you can find RM600 only without memory or whatsoever. but if you add 4gb you need to add rm100 for it.lol

Hi! i intend to buy PSP in this week and i have couple of QUESTIONS to ask. Hope everyone will help~
1. Is there any suggestion/things to look at when i get one? 2. Where should i go to get one? Sg Wang? Lowyat? 3. What's the different between PSP slim and big machine PSP? 4. get from the lyn sellers here. i got mine from nelson service is not bad. you can hardly find new psp1000 which is the fat one on the market unless 2nd hand. so slim is your only choice for new one. |

Hmm, i feel like buying a psp. But im not sure whether the psp or the nintendo ds lite will be better. Any suggestions? And if i get PSP, which version should i get or should i wait for the newer ones?

Went to Sg Wang just now, asked for the price of basic PSP package. The seller said they have 3 version; cheapest is for non moddable. They said have to change the chip to flash it. 3.70 version more expensive. The most expensive is 3.90 cfw moddable.
Don't know if it's true or they're just trying to con. Anyhow, I'm just asking them, no intention to buy one yet I already owned a PSP-1000. Just ask this and that to kill time |

I was planning to get a PSP slim & lite for my birthday, but yesterday when I called my cousin (psp seller), he told me that it's not the right time to buy psp now, because:
1) The new stock (with upgraded motherboard) just arrived and it's very expensive. 2) The new stock cannot be modded yet. So, I believe those can be modded are still the old stock. I'm becoming undecided now 'cause: 1)If I buy the new stock, I can't play "cheap" games. 2)Why not buy the old stock? But, since you're already buying, why not buy the latest one.... There goes my birthday gift... Anyone knows when the new stock can be modded? I've been longing for a psp for months, prolly years  |

i personally like the durability of the phat and the grip feel whereas the slims feel to flimsy to me......and the phat has more batt time...althought it loads slower..i dont mind the extra 15 secs

how do i differentiate whether it is a refurbish set or original? the guy shows me too the box that come together with the PSP.....the serial number is the same as it is stated on the box. BTW it is a US set.

I'm thinking of buying a PSP from a shop in Digital Mall, selling at RM 760 full set (memory stick, pouch, casing, etc.) However, the price seems much lower compared to when I ask for the same thing outside (say, OU which is like 1000 for what I want, or Cineleisure which is about 900) so I wanted to ask, if I'm being scammed. For example, it might be a refurbished console (is it possible with PSP?)? It might also be second hand. Is there any way to tell if it's new or not? And is there anything else I should be looking out for? And if this is still not the right thread feel free to point out to me where I should ask these questions. XD |

I found someone selling PSP Slim + 4GB MSPD for RM650 and it is UNMODDED~ No other stuffs included~ Not even pouch~ Haha..

they will almost always potong u kau kau by saying have to reflash & downgrade.. will be atleast RM30, some times up to RM50! for the custom firmware.. but they update till latest version for u make nice nice lah.
for me, i'll never buy a new console... it's just not worth the price. call me a stingy ******* slim + 4gb rm650 is too expensive. i got my phat 2nd hand scratch less full pack plus 1 ori umd(tekken) and 2x 2gb ms. for 500. MUAHAHAHAHAH edit : oh yeah, it was modded to 3.52 m33-4 also. just a little push & i bumped it up to 4.01 m33-2, happy now hail dark_alex! the market price of psp 2000 slim and light is keep raising..only machine set now is almost RM 780 ".. without memory .. if someone still can buy RM 780 with full accessory, better be quick before is too late |

hmm i wonder why... ah but i would really recommend getting a phat, as slim & 3k doesnt have the ir port, therefore, you will not be able to use wonderful homebrew apps such as IRshell... that lets you change your tv channels with your psp

FULL NEW PSP3k (cannot be modded yet)= RM700+ PSP2k secondhand = RM600-700 (depends on items & condition) PSP1k secondhand = RM490-600 (depends on items & condition) the price speculation only.. that was last week that i heard. sungei wang may be up to RM100+ cheaper for new sets. oh yeah one thing.. i'm sure i've said this more than twice already but keep in mind that the few last batches of psp2k with the ta-088 boards are not moddable.
watch out what psp u buy & check the motherboard. unless you're planning to travel to europe where umd is about 5 to 10 pounds each.. not just the price ppl! right now i'm guessing 80% of the new psp slims on market are the 088 boards... good luck i still prefer to go second hand. |

i think the price at pantai timur site quite cheap since there not really many ppl like to buy psp stuff.. they rather buy ps2.. huhu.. my opinion only.. try to ask ppl there.. ppl who sell psp there oso not really up to date.. so easy to nego.. haha..

hey, i just bought a lavender purple psp slim.. with charger, pouch, usb cable, 4 gb memory & screen protector. the seller says it's been used about 3-4 months and it doesn't look too used, just a few scratches on the umd ring and small scuff marks here and there - maybe less than 10%? for RM680. i'd really like to know - was it worth it?

I sincerely doubt that they can hack the PSP 3000 yet,even the TA V3 board also they still couldnt hack it....Im not saying DA cant hack it,but it may take some long time to hack it.

Want to ask, is PSP 2k production already stop? Cos when I went to some shops to buy ceramic white PSP, they said that it is out of stock cos Sony didn't produce new one. Only some few color left. On the other hand, I went to different shops, some still claim that their PSP is da new one. I'm afraid that it is just a recon set instead of new one. recon set very easy to recognize,
psp machine there got serial number sticker, just check the serial number is that same with the box, and also inside the battery cover serial number, if all 3 serial number match, then definitely is original set, some shop is definitely selling recon set, cause is cheap, but beware, cause.. really not worth to buy a RECON psp set, useless "i am not selling any recon set in my shop |

I chose to wait for the modded PSP3k. Haha. Not willing to pay for the crazy high price of PSP2k now. I asked last 2 days. RM1024 for the 4gb set.
Even Wii is now cheaper than PSP2k modded.. == |

actually wat r the real difference between da psp3000 n psp2000 ? aside from being able 2 ply ahem games ? hope sum1 could enlighten me wit sum information..

actually there is not much diff between PSP-2000 n 3000...only add built-in mic and brighter vibrant colour for the lcd on PSP-3000...and the cfw for PSP-3000 still hav 2 wait for quite some time...mayb dark-alex will hack it one day....
Added on February 8, 2009, 1:09 pmsony retailer and from game shop....the only diff i can see is that sony retailer is pricier and doest support any modding services....both of the shops also dont giv any warranty in case of any prob happen to it.... hi all,
need some advise here.. i've got a friend who's thinking of letting go his psp-2006.. just the console + charger with 4gb mspd..14 months old but he left his box/receipt at his old home which he has no access to anymore. runs on 3.71-m33 firmware and it's basically scratch free and works perfectly fine. How much should I offer him for the unit? since I'm new to console game and he doesn't know how much to sell. please advice..thanks! |

If you play PSP in the original way, you supposed to buy UMD games to play it.

For my own personal opinion, I don't think it is a good time to buy PSP 2000 now. It's just unreasonable for me. Previously it was sold at the price of RM700 something, now the price hike till RM1000+ because of the unmodifiable PSP 3000.
Anyway, it still depends on you how badly you need it. Since PSP 3000 was released on October 2008, and till now there's still no solution yet. |

Hey, i'm not sure whether this is the right place to put this post.
Sorry if i'm wrong. I'm selling my PSP 3k. (Black) Bought it on the Thursday of CNY. Which is about 2-3 weeks ago. There's totally nothing wrong with it, just that i bought it to pissed my parents off and now the threaten to throw it away if i don't do something with it. =.= selling for around RM 750. Negotioble I don't mind RM 700 but my friend thinks its stupid. -.- Includes: -travel case -4gb memory card thingy -A UMD which has 20 Capcom games in it (stupid games.-.-) -Normal screen protector(on it) No scratches (i think la, i've been protecting it.) Everything for 750, or 700. But best 750 la. NegotiobleCheap? Can lower if you guys think its expensive. Oh, i don't know how to do the COD thingy, can i like give in person and exchange in cash. i bought psp2k last week at lowyat. RM1350. came with - the PSP itself (black colour) - piano black case - transparent plastic casing (blackhorn) - other blackhorn's accessories (usb cable, travel charger, etc. quite nice oso) - 8 gig sony mem card - 13 games (god of war, GTA, some racing games, naruto, indiana jones lego etc..) - some mpeg4 movies (hancock, spiderman3, kungfu panda) - some mp3 songs - pictures of the seller (quite pretty oso- but had to delete )so what do i think? very pricey. but the look on my son's face was really priceless.. |

In my understanding, PSP 3000 is available for RM899 in Sony centre but cannot be modded so games rely on UMD's. PSP 2000 is discontinued and is available in retail game stores for around RM1000 and can be modded so games can be run without UMD and that's the reason it's pricey. Is that right?
I think if I were to buy, I'll buy PSP 3000. |

I hope we have a thread where the vendors are updating the price list daily on first page so customer can easily check. Price might be different but doesn't mean we will always go to cheaper one. The expensive one might have good bonuses.

Hey guys!
Im new in this forum, and I've been eye-ing to buy a psp for almost a year now.... Asked a shop in digital mall in section 14 (KL) in June this year, and the price was RM1200 (psp2000) which was too high for me. Yesterday, I asked another shop in 1 Utama, just outta curiousity and it was only like RM889 and 899 for psp3000 (can play ahem games) It comes with 4 GB memory stick with fully loaded games. I would like you guys here (experts =]) to advice me on which one to get, psp2000 or 3000? According to one of the guys, he said psp3000 isnt stable for *ahem* games? Is this true? And also, is the price mentioned earlier, the norm price or are there cheaper ones ? Thanks! PS: Im not interested in recon ones and in 2nd hand ones. |

And people at the digital mall are offering me 300 just to fix my screen and i find that quite expensive or that is reasonable?. i suggest get the memory stick with micro sd adapter which can support up to 32gb... mostly 4/8gb memory not enough to fit your favourite games...

i just bought psp3k 680 + 4gb,
the guy just told me, new batch of psp3k will come with new firmware, mean higher than 5.03, which also mean there will be no playing ahem games until the developer develop new custom firmware. which could also take awhile i think. so if you want to buy psp 3k, check the firmware 1st, must be 5.03 or lower. some dealer will keep the psp3k firmware 5.03 lower so that they could sell it higher price later. so if want buy it, maybe you should buy it now |

I just got back from Japan where I saw PSP3k with 4GB card selling new for 16800 yen (around RM642 at today's exchange rates) ... Any local shops matching that price? or should I be kicking myself now?

they said the service to upgrade to 6.20pro i must pay rm80.00 for the software game.. is it true? i dont have time so i just agreed..huhuhhuhu..now i regreet coz i've heard the service only cost rm10 else where.. |

upgrading firmware is FREE and just cost a few minutes with electric bill, RM80 is just for the service charge (usually at just RM30)
