Alright,i assume you want to upgrade your friends psp to the latest 4.01m33 firmware.

Now,i believe your friend's psp has 2.71 SE-* installed on it.Now there are several ways that you can use to upgrade your friend's psp.

1)Upgrade manually from 2.71se-* --> 3.52m33-4 --> 4.01m33-2.
2)Create a Pandora's Battery (DCv6),upgrade directly.

Tell me which one you want to peform.I think it's best for you to just use the first step, for it's really straight foward, and very easy to peform.

Inform me,and i'll provide you with a simple guide which i will create later.

Just bought my psp today @ seremban. Out of 3 shops i surveyed , they were selling the PSP with 4GB at RM800.

This shop that i bought from , was selling it for RM750

i got a 4GB stick
-ear phones
-screen protecter
-pouch
-charger
-free games + themes (easily available in 70rR3^n75 @ private trackers)

loving it right now.. Anything i can do to spice it up? biggrin.gif (dont plan to hard mod just yet)

Will start installing Win95 on it later after done playing on it. I have the instructions to do that so later will play around with it biggrin.gif

btw, can u play games online with the psp? i mean online as in with ppl from other parts of the world?

Well, you can spice it up in many ways.

Installing Win95 on it is really crazy. It'll take a month to fully boot the OS.If you're using the Portal version of it,it equally sucks.

1) You can install homebrews on it. (Check my signature for my very own game named "Playboy's Shooter")
2) You can install CXMB to get excellent looking themes on your psp ( My guide : CXMB 3.2.1 )

You can do many more interesting and mind blowing stuff on your psp.Just mention what you want to do with it,and i'll try to help you out.

lawl,i assume you do have custom firmware installed on it.

This guide would only work on 3.71m33,3.80m33,3.90m33 and 4.01m33.The themes that i've included are all for 4.01m33 only.

Actually it has been tested and they say it takes about 10 minutes to load the win95. After that it works nicely. Im not sure if that was on the phat or slim version. But im sure if it was on the phat, it'll work better on the slim version since the slim has more power biggrin.gif

About number 2, CXMB, i already have a few custom themes on my psp but is that that on CXMB? how to check ? biggrin.gif

btw,

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=15202454

How do i get those themese like the vista and InaFlow Beta/WIP.. They look just awesome

You can only install those themes if you have CXMB installed. You can check if you have CXMB by :
1) Checking the root of your memory stick on your PC.If you have the folder cxmb, then yes you do have it.

2)Go to recovery mode.(Hold the off switch for 3-4 seconds, then hold R and boot your psp up).Go to plugins and see if you have it in there.

And during the 10 minutes you take to boot Win95,i'd willingly do something better and more useful like playing football hehe
