I've asked the SA to give some better tint voucher, they provide me Multiguard tint brand. Is it good? the price is RM 500++. I guess it should be a decent tint.

Let wait and see after i get my car.
For now fingers crossed hmm.gif

Happy English New Year 2009 to all Persona owners! nod.gif

Happy New Year!! Newbie here.

I am planning to get a car and currently thinking of either a 2nd hand Honda City (preferably facelifted Oct 2005 model) or the new Persona (HL or SE). Any feedback or advice is welcome.

Also, can anyone recommend a good Proton Edar (not EON) to purchase the Persona around PJ area? I would prefer branch and not dealer.

Thanks
apahal

If u asked me, Honda City or Proton Persona/SE, I will say, buy Honda City lorr.. and don't come back to this topic biggrin.gif

For Proton Edar to buy your Persona... why ask? ha3x.. *kidding*

It's not the shop that will give you good service.. it's the SALESMAN... try the Taman Megah branch there next to LDP.. I bought mine over there.. very nice salesman... better than the 1st branch @ Kajang which made me waited 1 month for nothing.

P/S: Happy New Year 2009 to all smile.gif

apahal, thanks for your comments. perhaps it may not be an appropriate question to this thread but i just thought it does involve the persona, my bad icon_rolleyes.gif

I have been to that shop too. I do agree that the SA seems to be quite helpful. I have personally blacklisted the Mutiara Damansara branch cos I feel the SAs there are quite stuck up. Went there once to try and test drive the CPS Waja when it launched but left the place with a bitter taste in my mouth. Imagine not being served after being in the showroom for 20mins! Not a single SA came over to ask if I needed anything. And the best part was that the showroom was not even packed. Got fed up and walked out and told myself that I will never give business to Mutiara Damansara branch if I ever buy Proton. (Sorry if out of topic)

Any Persona SE owners here who have tried to swap the Waja rims to the HL/ML rims during purchase? Is it possible?

Mutiara Damansara is the COE 'center of excellence' stuff watsoeva.. ha3x
They already tired due to lots of customer want the excellent service..so, they are proud to introduce to you some of their not excellent service lorr.. *kidding*
next time, try tampal RM100 bill to your head when walk into their showroom... MAYBE their attitude will change.. or else, don't even bother to go there lorr biggrin.gif
I prefer going to small2x place for cheap2x stuff... most of them are sincere salesman who are more than willing to help me find some cheap stuff.. not to forget.. some might con you... so, back to the basic.. it's what we called as LUCK.
but, for proton, the car is great.. lotus handling maa.. very nice. But, it's after you bought the car that gonna make your rambut gugur because the service center sometimes was very lousy... again.. it's LUCK... if you hate to play with luck.. pay the price and get Honda or Benz or Ferrari... I'm sure you'll be happy

juz now done my 40k service, not at proton sc, but 'bawah pokok' only hehe tongue.gif

details:

enduro semi syn 10w-40 4L with oil filter - rm60 (no sm grade for delphi, so i use this one instead)
air filter - rm15
atf fluid 4L - rm55
spark plug(4 pieces) - rm22
dot4 brake fluid(2 bottles as i do bleeding) - rm16
service - rm40

so total up i paid around rm208... dun ask me whr i got this cheap price, but i m very satisfied with wht i get brows.gif

juz to tell u, imo 15w-50 engine oil is a bit heavy for our car, 10w-40 is most suitable, any brand can do, juz stick to one brand is the best..

for the oil filter, no nid to buy taiwan made or whtsoever, our local original is very good oledi coz it hav more layer than others..

btw, happy new year to all personarians out there... may this new year will bring u pride n joy more n more with our beloved persona tongue.gif

Wow, RM208 is pretty good deal. I hear 20k service is also around RM700 if done at SC. 40k serivce RM208 is good deal! And of course we get to choose better motor oil unlike at Proton SC...

Rev 7k rpm? Wow! Very high... I always change gear when it reaches 3 or 4k and keep it steady below 4k rpm. And the result is, my FC is only 5.6L/100km. biggrin.gif
*
Yes I must say, 7k RPM is very, very high.

Rm55 one may be dexron II / III, not suitable for the proton car. Proton uses mitsu gearbox, get the SP III diamond or ori proton SP III, if get from spare part shop, oni rm21 per liter.

Persona SE auto transmission owner here, just had my very first service 1.4K, brought my own engine oil mobil super S, total charges RM53.85, might be more expensive for the next service. Complained about my passenger side door hard to open from inside and outside, hah! they did adjusted it and it is easier to open now. and my steering wheel, got noise whenever steer to left and right, they are ordering and going to replace the coil spring as it is under warranty. i want to know that whether i need to do balancing or not due to my steering vibrates when accelerated around 140km/h, but that time was driving on uneven road highway, never try driving on kersas yet (even road) ... feel wasting money to do alignment and balancing if it is normal...

"Centre of Exellence"? Isn't that the one along the Kesas highway towards Kota Kemuning? I thought the one at Mutiara is Platinum Centre or something like that. Anyways, platinum or not, it's in my bad books already.
